PREV  Spring 1939 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi guys,

the gulf between the "Big Three" and the other powers further widened in Spring 1939. In particular, both Poland's and Turkey's western domains continue to be overrun without the invaders encountering much opposition. The Italian Press corps' prediction of an Italian conquest of the "Second Rome", Istanbul, has come to pass while the bulk of the Turkish forces appear to be engaged in a war with the British Empire.

Must say I've got an enormous backlog of player correspondence you guys have diligently sent me. Looking forward to tackling those! Fortunately, having just completed my one game I was participating in (netted what IIRC was my first pbem solo), I should have more time to keep up with what's happening under the hood in this contest. Though perhaps it's also time to look for another game to play. Hm... Truth be told though, I'm right now more intrigued by the recently released "LABYRINTH: THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR 2001-?" boardgame I helped playtest. I'd urge you to check it out. It's a terrific design. Right up there with my favourite boardgames (Hannibal, Diplomacy, Hellenes).

The British and Soviet retreats are due Friday, 6 PM CET.

Happy dipping,

Charles
