PREV  Fall 1652 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi guys,

it's been a rough year for the Sultan. He lost half of his holdings, while England and Russia have grown at a rapid pace. I'm curious what's next.

However, I'm afraid that due to a reason I won't disclose right now, we may see the winter deadline pushed back. I'm however hoping this won't be the case.

Charles

ANONYMOUS PRESS: The excitement around the courts of Europe is whether Spain (in exile) and Turkey (in duress) are actually attacking each other or just playing musical countries. Mssr. Rutebega Polski, one of the senior diplomats on the Continent gibed "Dots much to be hexpected from countries that spend so much time in da vater. The minds become water-logs!"

Major-General Cromwell, himself, landed recently and briefly in Brest, when told that le Brest was worth seeing. Soon enough, M-G Cromwell discovered he was the victim of a homonymic error and that people were only talking about the city; whereupon Cromwell tried to save face by hanging a few naval deserters and returning to Ireland where he busied himself with killing more Irish for their own good.

Famous Words RECENTLY HEARD Department:
Stockholm - "I won't go down alone. I know things. I've got people!"
Seville - "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapons are...uh...oh, I'll come in again."

ENGLISH PRESS: English fleets are unloading relief supplies at Brest for French peasants left behind in the political upheavals of the Bretagne region. "Many of our ancestors came from this country", remarked Admiral Lyly. "Though to be truthful, most of them were ruffians, thieves and cutthroats! But those were different times and we now hold dear the people of France and embrace their new-found liberty under British protection....Achoo! I beg your forgiveness. My snuff has become a bit salty."
