PREV  Fall 1939 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi everyone!

So, what has happened?

Britain: Halved in size. Owns two non-contiguous SCs. Difficult to defend. On elimination watch.

France: Dwarfed by the Med-fascists, the country could breathe a sigh of relief as Spain chose not to invade la patrie. Modest growth this year.

Germany: That Polish army in Franconia is a cancer within the Reich. The Chancellor failed to remove it. Germany is in dire need of help.

Italy: The Duce seems to be on good terms with Ataturk. For he didn't go for Suez. In any case two builds for Mussolini. Meanwhile the Generalissimo is slow in deploying his forces forward.

Poland: Two builds. Fairly easy pickings yet around for the rzeczpospolita.

Soviet Union: The Red Army just doesn't seem on its best game lately. Any purges incapacitating its leadership right now? Losing Iraq was so very unnecessary. Moving against Britain turned out to be child's play, though.

Turkey: The Turks made it into Ankara and Iraq. Yet those positions look awfully exposed.

Winter 1939 follows on Friday, 20 November.

Cheers,

Charles

FRENCH PRESS:
Saboteurs, anarchists and 5th columnists have been running rampant through French territories, egged on by well-known Ennemis de l'Etat. The ringleader is thought to be the nefarious Sir Reginald Pizzaria, scourge of eight continents (which makes him really nefarious, as there are only seven continents according to modern geographers). "Our good friend, Germany, is being consumed by the aggressive greed of foreign countries and it is all France can do to help keep German lands out of the hands of unwanted foreigners.

In other news, the Soviets have been working hard to prove a recent theory that there are only six continents, rather than seven. This is based on the fact that Europe and Asia are one, really big land mass. The Russians hope to demonstrate this by marching across the Russian plains, through Europe and all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. Polish soldiers are furiously digging a big ditch across Eastern Europe to fool the Russians into thinking they are already at the Ocean and turn back.

SOVIET PRESS:
La Marseillaise.
