PREV  Autumn 1905 Adjudication:  NEXT

English F Kie retreats to HEL
Russian A War retreats to Pru

A couple of notes on lessons that were learned this turn that I think are valuable to all as players to know/watch for in future games:
A unit that is being attacked with support cannot break the support of the attack and therefore bounce. Example (not from this game although there was an example of it) -
Italian A Ven - Tri
Italian A Tyr s Ven-Tri
Austrian A Tri-Tyr
Italy still succeeds in taking Tri.
When retreating in a Fall turn, a unit CAN take an empty SC if its a valid retreat option and GAIN that SC for Winter. In this turn, Jack could have retreated to Ber and taken that SC from Russia but did not. I remained neutral and did not point this out because it's the right thing to do. However, this is also a valuable lesson for future games for all to learn - both as the retreatee AND as the owner of the SC who left the SC unguarded but obviously knew a retreat was coming since he provided support to cause the retreat.
Enough story time. Let's get to Winter adjustments!

England removes 1
Italy builds 1
Russia builds 1
Turkey builds 2

Let's have those Sunday night at 8p CT. I will run the turn Monday morning thereafter.

Garry
