PREV  Spring 1654 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hallo zusammen,

so, are the French about to be squeezed by the English and Austrians? With possible a second Austro-French war breaking out, the Bourbons' prospects have taken a hit. Though might they nonetheless retake Brest...?

In the Mediterranean Spain has reversed course and now is concentrating forces off the Italian coast. As for the strategically important Dardanelles, the Sultan appears to have found a new friend in the Emperor. So Russia's navy remains bottled up in the Black Sea. It's almost as if we're seeing a reenactment of 19th and early 20th century geopolitics.

Anyway, let me give you a heads-up regarding my M.O.: I don't confirm orders when it's past the deadline and I'm set to adjucate. Seems doing so would be quite redundant, so I'm now deciding not to bother with it. Unless you guys want me to.

Since there are no pending retreats, we'll skip summer. Next stop Fall 1654 on 23 December.

Herzliche Gruesse,

Charles
