PREV  Fall 1907 Adjudication:  NEXT

Thank you everybody for getting orders in at the early time.

So, this is what I don't get. Why in the name of Mother Rus would you convoy an army from Ankara to Sevastopol and then march it back to Armenia? I'm sure there's a compelling reason... but wouldn't it have been easier just to order A Ank-Arm last Spring? It's a kind of Russian version of the Grand Old Duke of York, I suppose...

So, just when it looked like everybody was out to kill Germany... just when it looked like France had made some good frontline consolidation... Germany finds a friend. The kind of friend who acquires Vienna in exchange for Moscow, Warsaw, and support into Venice (not that Warsaw could've withstood a concerted German attack). I should note that Russia has now succeeded in consolidating an excellent mid-game position... for an Austrian :)

Turkey survives to NMR another day.

But don't anybody get comfortable just yet! The way this game is headed, I fully expect everybody to gang up on France next season -- not because France is a bad guy, but just because the alliances keep shifting like the sands.

So, where does this leave us? Three retreats.

French Army Tunis auto-retreats to North Africa.
German Army Vienna auto-retreats to Tyrolia.
Italian Army Venice may retreat to Apulia, Piedmont, Rome, Tuscany, or OTB.

Tunis could consider an OTB retreat, but since France is bound to disband a unit, it really doesn't matter. Vienna could retreat OTB, too, but there'd be no free home center to build in.

Adjustments for Winter 1907:

France: Supp 7 Unit 8 Remove 1
Germany: Supp 13 Unit 11 Build 2
Italy: Supp 4 Unit 4 Build 0 (+1 if retreat OTB)
Russia: Supp 9 Unit 8 Build 1
Turkey: Supp 1 Unit 1 Build 0

Orders are due tomorrow at the usual time (14:00 CST; 19:00 GMT).
