All,
With sadness we bid adieu to Max and Dan. Max technically NMR'd but I am not counting it since he sent in an EOG in lieu of orders...call it acceptance of fate as he rightly predicted that any move he sent wouldn't matter (France self-supported to Tun).

We DO have retreats and they are interesting so I am not going to try to do Winter with retreats. Retreats first:

Turkish A Tri can retreat to Alb, Ven or OTB.
Russian A Vie can retreat to Gal or OTB.
English F can retreat to Cly or OTB.

Let's get those tomorrow by 4p and we will move to Winter. IF you are confident in your retreat mark it as FINAL and I will move to Winter with a complete set marked FINAL if it is sooner.

Italian EOG:
Thanks all for the fun. I wanted to win, I saw no point in being part of a 3 way or greater, but I had Italy and in the very big shark pool that stacked the odds high.
The start went well working with Dan and Tim, and though Rt was starting to weaken strategically it was only to France's advantage, and a matter of time before I was the Jam in the Tim Dan buddy sandwich.
But there was a weakness in France's position and a chance to break the med with Turk and English help. It was high risk and meant abandoning Dan but I rolled the dice, Hoffman let me down and John bottled it, my fate was certain then. I bow to the superior dippers this game. Thanks all for igniting my interest again after years aways.
