There has also be a re-proposing of the Bushwood-FourGotten two-way draw.

I have also had a query about a variation of DIAS... I think I will dub it the DINS. As you may or may not know, there is a convention called DIAS - draws include all survivors. This is often used in no-press games. In DIAS, if a draw is declared, then all surviving players share in the draw -- in essence, it eliminates the 'Survival' category in DC stats and merges it into the 'Draw' category. (In DIAS games, there is sometimes an incentive to eliminate 1- and 2-center powers).

The proposal I have received is more of a DINS - draw includes no survivorship. That is, if a draw is accepted, then you are either 'in the draw' or you are *eliminated*. So, in other words, 'survivors' get lumped into the Eliminated pot instead of the Draw pot. Honestly, it's more of a threat than a proper draw proposal. It is also not the usual operating procedure at DC, but my reasoning is this: if the players are willing acquiesce to it, then it's not my job as GM to interfere. Here is player press to accompany the proposal:

"I am proposing the 2 way Bush/4Got draw once again. However, I've grown tires of the NO votes, so I am also showing the future ---- a 2-way with NO SURVIVORS! This is your last chance to vote Yes to the survivorship draw. A NO vote indicates that you'd like to play until dead, so that's what you'll get."

So, there you have it. Either everybody votes in favor of the BushGotten 2-way, or (so says the author) everybody but BushGotten dies. Sounds rational to me.

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
