Hallo zusammen,

let's see which SCs changed hands this turn:

- Denmark and England swapped - intentionally or not - Scotland and Christiania.
- Poland garrisoned Wallachia.
- Russia tooker over an unoccupied Novgorod.
- Spain captured Candia, thanks to England and, by the looks of it, Poland.

One might also note that little changed in Central Europe. In particular, Austria and Denmark seem to be at peace. Indeed, some Austro-Danish cooperation was observed in the Rhineland - if amounting to naught.

Good luck and happy dipping!

Charles

ENGLISH PRESS: Oliver Cromwell is still the Lord Protector of England. He is not pleased at all with the desultory actions of the British forces. "Quit pussy-footing around! Do I have to gut my entire Admiralty Staff in order to find somebody with the moral rectitude to carry out my wishes?" As everybody knows, Lord Cromwell is not normally pleased with much of anything, anyway. Yes, the People of London love him, but many wish he would take on the mantle of the Roman General Marius and retire, now that he has cleaned out the Parliament, put down the Irish and the Scots, and instituted his morality laws. Such was the story that appeared on a broadside published just last week by Geo. Smythe & Sons, Ltd, Printers.

In other news, a fire broke out in a small coffee shop on the Strand last night. Owing to the ramshackle condition of the building, and the crowded side-by-side structures, the fire quickly spread, consuming several businesses, including the coffee shop, Mrs Wiggin's Bakerey & Hat Shoppe, and the printing establishment of Geo. Smythe & Sons, Ltd
