That's right, dc210, the Commemorative, original 1958 Diplomacy game, "Great Balls of Fire" has come down to a 3-way draw between the remaining powers of Austria, Britain and Russia. Congrats to the final 3! Of course an equally fitting title could have been "Great Game from Hell", "Nightmare on Dip Street", or even "The Game It's No Surprise It Was Changed There Were So Many Problems With It".

Really... I'm glad to have seen it, and even to have GM'd it, cuz it gives you a perspective on where Dip as we know it came from, and just how good the rules are in the current version. Understanding the past makes you appreciate the present just a bit more.

Final results are online: www.diplomaticcorp.com?game_id=dc210

I'm really interested to hear EGS's on this one, both strategy-wise and your take on the changes to the game mechanics over the years.

Hope to see you all in the next... Tho it will be a while at least before I run one of these original games again. :-) Congrats to Aidan, Mav, and Steve!

Enjoy,
-mike
