PREV  Spring 1913 Adjudication:  NEXT

In reply to Tim's inquiry (and Dave's reply) about the stalemate clock, allow me to direct your gaze to my House Rules:

"If a game appears to be stalemated, the GM may choose to declare the game a DIAS if there appears to be no substantial change to the board dynamics for 4 consecutive turns (2 years)."

Now, to be fair, I had to look this rule up myself, because I'd forgotten my own house rules. You see, I have never actually had to invoke this rule in all of my years as a GM. Instead, I find that the players are usually shrewd enough to reach an understanding among themselves without the GM's intercession...

...but I fear that Tim is the only player who doesn't know that this has already happened. And that his prospects for a happy New Year have dimmed decidedly.

One unit is dislodged, but there will be no retreat.

We head to Fall 1913. I am setting the deadline for a very unusual Saturday adjudication. January 5th. Two votes are on the table:

Bushwood/FourGotten two-way draw

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
