DIPLOMATICCORP DC192 - THE SCUM ON THE SLOP BUCKET
STANDARD GAME, STANDARD MAP, 2-SEASON GAME YEAR
ADJUDICATION FALL 1908 (TURN 16) - END OF GAME
THURSDAY 18th SEPTEMBER 2008
GM Comment:
We have a final result. The best of the slop rises to the surface!
GERMANY WINS A SOLO VICTORY gaining 18 centres (Congratulations to Mark)
FRANCE SURVIVES
TURKEY SURVIVES
My thanks go to the above players and to the others who were eliminated in this turn and earlier. There were no NMRs (except for a rerun of the first turn following the original France falling at the first fence). The player commitment was great -including Adam (Italy) who even sent in a nil return order for the final turn when he didn't have any units left!
The game seemed destined for a 2-way concession victory to France and Germany for a while, but the proposal was voted down turn after turn after turn. Germany's armies seemed better placed than France's Mediterranean fleets to pick up centres in the end game. In the end Germany's fleet dispositions allowed some (expected?) stabs at France's expense.
If any of you want to do End of Game Statements (and I encourage you to share your strategy with the wider Diplomaticcorp community) then please either send them to me for distribution or publish the statements yourself on the DC192 message board.
In due course point will be allocated to players and the game will be archived in the Hall of Games.
Good luck to each player in their future games.

DC192Fa08f: showing final (game end) positions.
A complete map history for the game (in the form of a slideshow) can be found at http://sforza.50webs.com/ I'll keep these on the site for a few months.
A slideshow purely showing end of turn maps can be found at:http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/slideshow.php?game_id=dc192 (I won't be putting intermediate maps - moves, retreats, adjustments - retrospectively on the Diplomaticcorp site for this game - too much work, but will be putting them on for the next game I GM).
Cheers,
Paolo.
