I would love to hear some EG statement on this and the DCI.

It has been a pleasure to GM such a talented group of players.

Dci 2008

Organiser's Comment: I, for one, really enjoyed this year's DC. I know some players were not in favour of the gunboat game but overall I think the 2 games were played very well. All 11 of my 'selected' players played to 110% of their ability (again with one withdrawal from my original 6). I am amazed that both games have ended in 2008, when traditionally we normally finish around April but then I wonder if the Christmas season and upcoming winter blitz have been responsible the large number of DC games that are finishing at the moment.

I would like to thank all the players for their commitment to the games, and a special thankyou to the players who sent me comments, opinions, feedback and general emails as we went along. I particularly loved the diplomacy that was happening in the second game.

anyway - without further ado. Final Standings of the DCI 2008

In reverse order..

In 10th Position on 1 point is Derek Eyler.
In 9th Position on 1 point is Brian Lam

In 8th Position on 4 points is Lee Taylor
In 7th Position on 4 points is Nigel Phillips
In 6th Position on 4 points is Garry Bledsoe

In 5th Position on 7 points is Mike Sims
In 4th Position on 7.5 points is Mikael Johansson

In 3rd Position on 8.5 points is Clark Landry
In 2nd Position (and first runner up) on 10 points is Jorge Saralegui

so In 1st Position, a relative newcomer (perhaps his unknowness helped him in this year's diplomacy) is
Dan Dzikowicz.
