DC177 - Let this be a warning for everyone... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Yes, the Tzar has returned.
Only to find that his trust has been betrayed by some of his former
allies who have taken the opportunity of his absence to plot against
Russia. Worse, these deceitful Powers did not keep their promises,
made as men of honour, but instead launched attacks against the
Russian Liberator.
Let this be a warning for everyone who dares to entrust Powers like
these with their plans and think they might honour their agreements.
Shame on you, Serdar Turkmenbashi of Turkey, who I regarded as my
brother, to break our agreement not just once but twice.
Shame on you, Kevin of Italy, who I helped to get a share of former
Austria-Hungary, only to be backstabbed in return.

dc179 Blackmarch A02 Results: Retreats Needed Befo... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Lines Seem to Clear Up a Bit as Some Tentative Alliances Seem to Appear?
France Holds [Intentionally] and Suffers.
Retreats Required.
Given some previous concerns with my automatic retreats last time, it is probably more prudent for me NOT to take that approach this time.
Two retreats are required from our turn and we will not have our build/disbands until those are ordered. I have still listed builds below for those who are curious.
RETREATS NEEDED ARE:
A Bud - can retreat to Tri or disband [OTB retreat]
A Bel - can retreat to Bur or Pic OR disband [OTB retreat]
Please note - the map still reflects both of these units [roughly] in their current placement PRE-RETREAT orders.
For retreats, let's have those as soon as possible. Deadline for those is 5pm CST Monday the 19th if possible. We would then target Tuesday or Wednesday for builds/disbands.
An additional administrative note: I am going to be on vacation next week and I am going to try to get a GM sub for the S03 round. If unable to get one, we will have a slightly longer
S03 round. I will advise this [hopefully] when I send out notification of what builds/disbands are required.
Hopefully this works for all.
Oh, one other note: the French moves are legitimate and not the result of an NMR.

Ottoman Turk Atrocities - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
It is characterised by the use of massacres, and the use of deportations involving forced marches under conditions designed to lead to the death of the deportees, with the total number of Armenian deaths generally held to have been between one and one-and-a-half million. Other ethnic groups were similarly attacked by the Empire during this period, including Assyrians and Greeks, and some scholars consider the events to be part of the same policy of extermination.
The date of the onset of the genocide is conventionally held to be early 1903, the day that Ottoman authorities arrested some 250 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople. Thereafter, the Ottoman military uprooted Armenians from their homes and forced them to march for hundreds of miles, depriving them of food and water, to the desert of what is now Syria. Massacres were indiscriminate of age or gender, with rape and other sexual abuse commonplace. The Armenian Genocide is the second most-studied case of genocide.[Reply] |

Dc169 End Game Winter 1907 - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Dear Dc169ers
All four players have voted YES to the England - Turkey Draw. This means that Spring 1908 is not needed to be adjudicated (as no SC would change hands in spring, no player would be eliminated) so this game will officially end at Winter 1907 (although season count will show spring 190.
Congratulations to Lolablue (turkey) and Garry (England) for their 2 way draw.
Final Standings are :-
Joint 1st - Turkey (14 SC) Lolablue
Joint 1st - England (12 Sc) Garry Bledsoe
3rd (Survivial) France 5 SC Melinda, genea5613
4th (Survivial) Austria 3 SC Jean Luc (phantomas)
5th Eliminated 1906 Russia Andrew, guvland
6th Eliminated 1905 Italy Dan, colonel mustard
7th Eliminated 1904 Germany Mike, offdisc
Finally, apologies for the GMing in this game. It was definately not my best due to real life commitments and an dying hard drive.

I might be slightly confused as usual, but I believe I told Nick that I would put out the Fall 08 turn adjudication for him tonight. I have all orders in, but if there are any changes you wish to make please note that you have just under 8 hours to make them.
Cheers all,

dc179 Blackmarch A02 Results: Waiting on French Re... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Start the clock now on a 24 hour grace period. I know that he was out of town for the weekend so hopefully this is merely a result of him returning home late.
Once I have that retreat we can move to builds/disbands. I already have several build orders. Hopefully that means that we won't have to wait long.
NOTE: I am making the declaration now - if I receive no retreat from France it will be OTB. This is only fair given that NO provisional retreat was given by me due to previous
retreats being disliked by the players. I am also ruling as such because this unit, at time of dislodgement, becomes the furthest unit from home centers that does not currently
reside in a center.
Hopefully this is considered a fair treatment.

Oh, one other note: the French moves are legitimate and not the result of an NMR.

dc179 Blackmarch A02 Results: Retreats IN, Next Up... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
All,
As I suspected, Steven was just a bit late getting back in town. I got his retreat later last night. The retreats were:
A Bel-Bur
A Bud-Tri
So that leaves us with the following builds/disbands:
Autumn 1902 Adjustments:
A: Gre, Ser, Tri, -Bud, -Vie = 3; Loses 2.
E: +Bre, Bel, Nwy, Edi, Lon, Lpl = 6; Gains 1.
F: +Por, Spa, Mar, -Bre, -Par = 3; Loses 1.
G: Den, +Par, Hol, Ber, Kie, Mun = 6; Gains 1.
I: +Tun, +Vie, Rom, Ven, Nap = 5; Gains 2.
R: Sev, +Bud, +Rum, Mos, Swe, StP, War = 7; Gains 2.
T: Bul, Con, Ank, Smy = 4; No change.
Builds/Disbands:
A: Remove 2
E: Build 1
F: Remove 1
G: Build 1
I: Build 2
R: Build 2
T: None
I have already received many of the build orders. I just need disbands and the few remaining build orders. Let's please target Wednesday May 21st at 5pm CST for the remainder of these. NOTE: any build orders already submitted
CAN be altered up until that time if the player wishes based upon the retreats.
Thanks.
