Results? Did someone say you wanted results? Oh well you just have to ask...
We have one lone retreat, for the Nomad in WMO... to any one of lots of places.
This seems to have been a turn of... refinement. Yeah. Taking all those little powers who have been beaten down, and grinding them further into the ground, with perhaps a little twisting motion at the same time to pummel them into obliviion... Several powers seem to suffer this fate, namely the Wizards and Rogues are set to lose their last couple dots... The Shades don't look so hot (but I thought they were out last round and survived)... Barbarians and Undead will need a small miracle to keep themselves in this one. Faeries remain viable by a thread... will they be the next to fall?

In my experience, when Sims runs late it's because some knucklehead or
another in the game hasn't submitted orders, and Sims is too polite to
announce who it is.

After 3 years oof play, the Ogres go on the books as our first elimination... Thanks for playing Jerome! Of course with every death comes new units for others so I'm sure the Hobbits, Dwarves, Shades, and Elves owe you a moment of silence for doing your part in the circle of life. Onward! Dc 449: Spring 1902 Adjudication - AlanRFarrington (Mar 09, 2013, 9:09 pm) |
Hey All,
Didn't get orders from one player so Max will suffer an NMR. Hopefully he'll be back by next turn, perhaps he is enjoying his spring break.
A bounce in Bulgaria leaves Turkey missing Greece along with an army. The English force their way into Belgium, and the full Italian force heads west.
French A Belgium can retreat to Ruhr or Burgundy.
Next Deadline:
Summer 1902 is due Monday March 4th at 12:00pm GMT (7:00pm EST)
(This is just for France, if Alfred gets orders to me marked final I'll adjudicate as soon as possible.)

Russia and Germany both order their retreating armies to disband.
Italy retreats to Tuscany.
England builds a fleet in London, Germany an army in Munich, and
Turkey armies in Constantinople and Smyrna. Russia removes Galicia.
Spring deadline is 9pm GMT on Monday.

England's army in St Petersburg did not support the Turkish army in
Moscow to move to Holland. They supported Moscow to hold. Thankfully
this doesn't change the results, but it is still a correction that
needs to be be brought to your awareness.

On the basis that only one unit was able to move this turn, Ger A Swe - Den, I am declaring this the first turn of stalemate apparently being reached. As I pointed out to you in the message I sent earlier this week, I draw your attention to the DC website house rules, 'End-Game Proposals, section 5', which states:
"If a game appears to be stalemated, the GM may choose to declare the
game a DIAS if there appears to be no substantial change to the board
dynamics for 4 consecutive turns (2 years). This rule is most likely to
apply where some power(s) have demonstrated a stalemate line that cannot
be broken given a fixed set of defensive orders. If the No Substantial
Change rule is to be invoked, the GM will notify the players after the
2nd season (1 year in) of effect, allowing them at least one full year
to consider the implications of a potential stalemate. Any declared
stalemate will be a DIAS where all players in control of at least 1
supply center will share equally in a draw. Some things that may break a
stalemate are:
The capture of a supply centerDislodging a unitPlayer request, with explanation of why the game is not stalemated"If there are three more consecutive turns of stalemate, I shall declare this game a DIAS.
There are two end-game proposals to be voted on for this WINTER TURN:A 6-way DIASA two-way France-Austria drawI need six 'yes' votes to carry either of these two EGPs. If they both pass, the DIAS wins.
There are no adjustments to make to any power this turn, so I'm just looking for votes for the EGPs. The deadline is 2100GMT tomorrow, Friday 8 March.Best,Jerome[Reply] |

Italy could build one if they ordered their retreat OTB ... but since

Germany could build one if they ordered their retreat OTB. I guess
that depends on where they want their unit to be in the spring.
Russia removes one (unless they order OTB in which case the removal's

DC447 Winter 1904, Epilogue! - Zoterik (Mar 07, 2013, 1:54 am) |
This time around, all active powers voted in favor of the draw. This is certainly the shortest game I have ever seen, save the one time I tried to demonstrate it to my family. It's also the first game I have seen in which the supply center leader was not part of the victorious coalition! Congratulations to England, Germany, and Italy!
I'd be very interested to see any AARs-I think this game had plenty of room for backstabbing. I have included the adjustments and final maps. It's been a pleasure playing with you all, and I hope to meet you again in DC!

dc444 Call for 5 way. - hapolley (Mar 05, 2013, 1:10 pm) |
The only reason there is any hope of DIAS for F/G is because Danilo agreed to becomeour Cat's Paw. Thanks to him the North became a West lake rather than a Russian attack option. There is no way I will agree to 5 way without England he earned the DIAS. Now I am willing to accept after fall F/A draw, provided it is ok with Englad!I think that would be the better solution as it would allow a party form bothsides to continue to have shot at prize money. Ok. I voted against the DIAS at the last minute. Honestly, my biggest issue is england. I like Danilo, and he's a good player, but I just hate the idea of a one center power sharing in a DIAS. Again, nothing personal against him, he's one of the players I enjoyed talking with the most on the board. Would everyone be amicable to a 5-way of AIRFG? Specifically England? A survival's still very respectable given the situation. And honestly, with a 5-way draw, none of us are going to win the blitz anyway.
Jerome, I guess you can consider that an official proposal. And I hereby vote yes to it.

Finally! We have our first end-game-proposal. The game itself is interesting enough, but seeing who votes for or against a draw proposal makes things even more fun for me. Your votes will come with your fall moves. Only a unanimous yes will end the game. The assumed vote is a no, unless you say otherwise.
In other news, there are two retreats (very close to each other) that need to be resolved before we can even get to the fall. Those need to be in tomorrow.

John

OK guys, we've an EGP on the table for the Autumn moves. It's a five-way AIRFG. Please include your votes with the autumn moves - it needs six 'yes' votes to pass.
