*Austria Didn't Get the Memo**Cool Heads Talk Peace**Italians Swap Tri for Vie*Hey all, First off, sorry for being out of communication this weekend. I know an end game proposal was suggested, but I was away from my computer and unable to officially put that out. Also, lots of revisions this turn, so make sure I got your most recent set of moves. I was most concerned about Austria's set, but I double checked it and it appears to be correct. End game proposal-wise. Here's how I deal with that. I will generally ask for a vote on any end game proposal suggested (whether it is proposed in public or privately to me). If someone replies to all with a vote, I will consider it their vote unless they privately message me saying they actually want to vote differently. I will not say who proposed what vote, or who voted what. Results will be pass or fail. Even after the game is over I will not list
who voted
for what, although obviously if a proposal passes, that means everyone voted yes. Also, if there are two end game proposals and both pass, the MORE inclusive proposal succeeds. Lastly, you CAN propose a draw and then vote against it. I had a GM once who would not allow that, but I'm fine with it. For this season we have two EGP's, on both extremes. There's a Russian Solo and a DIAS on the table. Votes are due with fall moves. Again, votes must be unanimous to pass, and a failure to vote counts as a "no" vote. Whew. Hope that covers everything. DC 420: Spring 1906 Adjudication - AceRimmer (May 14, 2012, 2:50 pm) |
The drama of the season happens in Spain, where the Austrian convoy fails. But to focus on that would be to miss the bigger picture: Russians into Norwegian and Skagerrak; Austrians into Kiel; Turkish fleets crawling everywhere (including English Channel); and Italians safely retreating into Mid-Atlantic Ocean.
There are two retreats. The Italian auto-retreat has already been covered. The Russian fleet in Liverpool may retreat to Irish Sea, Wales, or OTB. Order due tomorrow, Stuart.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

there are three votes needed.
The DIAS, the Russian solo, and the IGR.
The English votes are: Yes, Yes, and
Hell No, it will never happen as long as I've got a
vote, so don't bother to bring it up unless you
have eliminated me.
Thanks,

Hey all,
First off, sorry for being out of communication this weekend.
Even after the game is over I will not list who voted for what, although obviously if a proposal passes, that means everyone voted yes. Also, if there are two end game proposals and both pass, the MORE inclusive proposal succeeds. Lastly, you CAN propose a draw and then vote against it. Yes to all EGPs.
England has been trying to play games with everyone, so I say if he won't accept a draw that leaves out anyone with less than 5 centers, you all reduce him to zero

This game is rapidly descending into rancour and farce. Let's just DIAS it, it's the humane way to go.

England has been trying to play games with everyone, so I say if he won't accept a draw that leaves out anyone with less than 5 centers, you all reduce him to zero

*Austria Didn't Get the Memo*
*Cool Heads Talk Peace*
*Italians Swap Tri for Vie*
Hey all,
First off, sorry for being out of communication this weekend.
Even after the game is over I will not list who voted
for what, although obviously if a proposal passes, that means everyone voted yes.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

I will not officially declare any end of Game until thursday morning. Remember that someone could agree to an EGP publically but counter that privately. It's always encouraged to continue to submit moves just in case. Also, along those lines, if any of the EGP *do* pass, they happen before the turn is adjudicated, and so I will not list any moves, nor will centers change hands. Just fyi. Thanks all!

Yes to all EGPs.
This game is rapidly descending into rancour and farce. Let's just DIAS it, it's the humane way to go.

Any questions, feel free to ask. While I would like to play the game out, I am not going to force everyone

I will not officially declare any end of Game until thursday

that privately. It's always encouraged to continue to submit moves just in
case. Also, along those lines, if any of the EGP *do* pass, they happen before
the turn is adjudicated, and so I will not list any moves, nor will centers
change hands. Just fyi. Thanks

All,I apologize. Cory's email has problems and he asked me to do Winter. I got completely busy through the weekend and FORGOT that I was supposed to do the turn. It is a very small action as:
Turkey removes F EASAustria misses out on a build (even with the long delay)
We move to Spring 1905. However, because of the delay in the build (although not a significant action turn), let's delay Spring to Tuesday morning at 11a CDT. Because I don't know the status of Cory's email, please copy ME, Cory and the Orders box (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com) on your orders.
Thanks and I apologize for the delay. From Spring we will try to get us back on track quickly.
