intentions are moving your fleet to WNZ. I might have waived my build, but now I will build in Christchurch to defend, just in case. I won't attack you, and won't help France against you, but I may help France hold against you. You might want to think about Indonesia's potential for winning now. 16) Marshall Islands - All (and especially one-issue-party France): Yeah, let's stop Australia, he will win this game hands down if we don't pile on top of him. Oh and Indonesia, congrats on your victory! 15) Marshall Islands - All: I really enjoyed all the Marshall-prose. The only one that came from me was number 5. 14) Indonesia to Australia: You should have a look on NZ. If he changes to France there is much resistance against our 2-way-draw. I would build F Bri.
13) To Australia: Building army in bri, right? Perth is the start. 12) France to NZ : taking back kei isn't very helpful to the cause but I can understand it and will not try to defend it , as it was yours. From now on please help in stopping Australia. 11. USA to Marshall: As the ruler of Indonesia did not answer - probably he does not feel the need to communicate with such a minor power as the United States - and your new proposition is in agreement with the rules, I shall order as you suggested, i. e. A maj S M A kir - smi. 10. Marshalls to USA.USA.USA: The message before wasn`t from me. Can you support Kir-Smi. 9.Marshalls to USA.USA.USA: There are a lot people talking as

I also request your order F NAS - kir to cut possible support. 7) USA to Marshall: The author of press no. 4 does not know the rules of the game. A kwa - smi is not possible. The rules state clearly that 'armies can move _directly_ from one island chain to another'. kwa and smi, however, do not belong to different island chains. 6) USA: I think the best way is I support you into Smi. 5) Marshall Islands applauds the writer of press no 4. 4) Marshalls to USA.USA.USA: Can you support Kwa-Smi 3) Why is Indonesia wasting time going to wmi and pmo? It was time for the stab! Don't wish to even TRY for the WIN? 2) France to NZ: Please join me in the attempt to stop Australia, no use in attacking me and let Australia win. 1) Nobody has ever won this variant but Japan. Looks like our current fearless leaders want a draw and keep Japan's record intact.=======================================================================================================================================RULES AND DEADLINE -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deadlines Will be every Thursday (spring/summer) and Sunday (fall/winter) at 1800MT Calgary time. Perth is the
start. 12) France to NZ : taking back kei isn't very helpful to the cause but I can understand it and willnot try to defend it , as it was yours. 9.Marshalls to USA.USA.USA: There are a lot people talking as Marshalls. Sorry guys, this was stuck in my outbox. I might have sent it incorrectly in my condition last night... Not much changes in the Balkans this season, while Germany and France continue to battle for Europe.. One retreat this turn, deadline will now be November 11th. Since we lost some time, if you're certain in your decision, let me know and I can adjudicate Winter as soon as you send the retreat. German F North Sea can retreat to Norway, Skagerrak, Denmark or Helgoland Bight.

Less than 24 to go! Oceania DC508\FALL/2007 Press!... - hapolley (Nov 08, 2014, 9:00 pm) |
================================================================= Rule Review and Oceania DC508\FALL/2007 Player Press!
================================================================= 3 Winter Proposals: Vote with your Spring and Fall moves! I/F draw: A/M/N/J/U draw: DIAS :================================================================= GM: Maj and Smi are one of those strange places connected by arrows you can move between
these two spots even though 2 seas separate them.
Kwa can move to, or support the chain island of smi, as they have a common sea boarder WEM. So number 4 is correct. The rule is badly written but the word Chain can refer to a part of multi attached Islands as well as to a whole group of attached Islands. The precedent was set two games ago in my adjudicator and so stands. The need for commonalty of rules rather than rules with exceptions was the deciding factor. Armies can move directly from one chain island to another if they border the same sea province is the common rule. '3. The most important feature is that armies can move
directly from one island chain to another ("island hopping" as long as both chains (independent of being multi-spaced or single-spaced) border the same sea province.' 10.Marshalls to USA.USA.USA: The message before wasn`t from me. I will no longer
publish press on this topic, please move along to fresher topics. Indonesia to all: It is very unfair what is happening. France and I am not knowing each other. We only know our names because of a mistake of the GM. France and I are not looking for a 2-way-draw. There was no contact you didn`t see. Making mood against us and claim we would betray is absolutely unfair. If I were GM I would not post this press. Because it is bare of all arguments. And I have to say that I don`t wanted to know France name because only of this information my relationship to Australia is in danger. Australia I hope you believe me and not somebody unfair and helpless. 7) Non writer of numbers 4 & 6: It might not be a bad idea, if Australia is game (and willing to forego his own victory), to go forth and fight the two nations that know each other and, apparently, aim for a two-way draw.
How about going for a five-way excluding Indonesia & France? Gunboat it is no longer anyway. 6) Statement no. 4 is correct: Knowing another player in a gunboat game is a big advantage even without direct communication. 5)France to NZ: Please join me in the attempt to stop Australia, no use in attacking me and let Australia win. 4) The good thing with gunboat is that you don't know the player. And thereby not the players psychological profile. Is he a partner to the end, is he a stabbing type if you turn your back to him, is he revengeful to the end if you have crossed him or is he a labdog. Even if the two players don't communicate with one another they still know these facts. 3) France to all : Since this mistake has taken so much attention.I would like to clarify that I join
Indonesia and can promise you all I shall not contact him . Otherwise I wouldn't had brought all this into the attention of the GM in the first place. GM: in interest of game play, this is from France. 2) Japan/Marshall/NewZealand/USAUSAUSA - Indonesia: Why should I not play on? If you want a two-way, good luck, but I won't surrender until I'm gone, and I wonder if a stalemate is possible in this variant. So either propose a DIAS or show me that a 2-way is really a likely result. I think not! GM two cents: forming a stalemate line in this game is much harder than in other ones which is why I like running the game. 1) Nobody has ever won this variant but Japan. Looks like our current fearless leaders want a draw and keep Japan's record intact.=================================================================[Reply] |
DC507 - Spring 1873 - Operations (Nov 06, 2014, 7:50 pm) |
The war against the Emperor of Japan continues, as the Russians make a full-court press against the Turks in the East. Canton becomes ground zero this spring in a fierce battle between the French and Chinese, but the Chinese emerge victorious in reclaiming their province. Turkish F Constantinople can retreat to Angora, so ordered.
Chinese F East China Sea can retreat to Kyushu, so ordered.
Japanese F Otaru can retreat to Sakhalin, so ordered. British F Egypt can retreat to Syria or Mecca. Deadline for Britain's retreat is November 8th. If the other powers would like to go OTB instead of retreating, they can also let me know during this time.
