DC 306: Sengoku Rev6DP - Fall 1573: Shimazu Yoshih... - Kenshi777 (Jun 02, 2010, 3:18 pm) |
Shimazu Yoshihisa was the daimyo of one of the oldest and most
established clans in all of Japan during the Sengoku Jidai. From
their home in Satsuma province, they would eventually dominate nearly
all of Kyushu before being driven back to their ancestral home by the
upstart Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
Our Shimazu clan has likewise been deposed this season. Thanks to
Isaac for fighting to the finish - your death is honorable
***TEAHOUSE COMMENTARY: Uesugi Kenshin and Shimazu Yoshihisa fail to
prevent the Mori advance into Iwami Coast in Yoshihisa's final act of
vengeance. The Chosokabe clan trades Bungo for Kii, and claims the
last of the Shimazu holdings. Suzuki Sadayu is not the only minor
daimyo to be erased from Japan's landscape this season either.
Mitsugi Yoritsuna of Hida also has met an untimely end at the hands of
the Dragon of Echigo, Uesugi Kenshin. To the south, the great battle
of the southern seas between the Chosokabe and Hojo is about to begin
in
earnest, as the Chosokabe armada forces the Hojo from their position
in the Pacific Ocean. Finally, Asakura Yoshikage reminds his
adversaries that he has not lost the art of the offensive, as he
forces the Chosokabe invaders from Harima while warding off an attack
on Settsu.
***HAIKU!!!

B's Summer Schedule - Nigs (May 28, 2010, 2:29 pm) |
Guys,
I was trying to avoid inconviencing you all, nt adding complications.
I have already submitted orders for next season. If i am able to, I will try to continue to do so for future seasons. The gaps due to Ben's being away may help with that: I just don't know.
If a season comes with no orders from me, why not just continue without me? Maybe that way you'll get a more satisfactory conclusion.

B's Summer Schedule - Kenshi777 (May 28, 2010, 1:54 pm) |
To all players in games I am playing in and running:
I have a vacation planned (the first real vacation in two years!) for
June 19-27, and will shortly thereafter be heading up to Wisconsin for
annual training with the Reserves from July 11-July 31. Potentially,
I might not have internet access for either of those events (very
likely not from June 19-27, probably will but not certain for July
11-31). More to follow, just a heads up for now - potential delays
ahead.

DC 306: Sengoku Rev6DP - Spring 1573 Deadline Remi... - Kenshi777 (May 17, 2010, 9:31 am) |
Hello again players, I'm back in town - hope you enjoyed your long
season for negotiations. Spring 1573 is due today at 5pm EST!
Please note that we have a player absence from the 20th through the
30th, so unfortunately, there will be a long break before the fall as
well. Apparently 1573 was an odd year, with 730 days instead of the
usual 365....or something.

Mori Motonari was the daimyo of Aki province, and a vassal to the
great Ouchi Yoshitaka. When Yoshitaka was betrayed and forced to
commit seppuku by an Ouchi retainer, Sue Harukata, Motonari attacked
and defeated Harukata's forces. Motonari then continued to
consolidate his control of the Ouchi provinces, continuing the
campaign against the Amago and Otomo clans, and eventually rising to
become one of the greatest rivals to Toyotomi Hideyoshi in his
campaign to unify Japan.
***TEAHOUSE COMMENTARY: The Mori clan was also known for possessing
one of the more powerful navies of any daimyo in the Sengoku era, and
our Motonari (Jim) seems to be similarly inclined. Mori builds an
additional fleet in Iwami, though his Chosokabe ally builds two,
keeping Mori in second place in the naval arms race. Shimazu
continues his attack on the Mori lands, abandoning his final holding
in Kyushu. Asakura strengthens his core holdings by building an army
in Settsu, while Oda disbands his southern front in favor of facing
Hojo, who has build two new fleets and an army of his own. Uesugi
lines new forces also along his border with Hojo, placing a fleet in

DC 306: Sengoku Rev6DP - Fall 1572: Hojo Ujiyasu - Kenshi777 (Apr 29, 2010, 5:02 pm) |
Hojo Ujiyasu was the third daimyo of the Sengoku-era Hojo clan that
began with Ise Shinkuro, who took the name Hojo Soun. From humble
beginnings in Izu province, the Hojo greatly expanded their holdings,
and succeeded in bringing nearly the entire Kanto region under their
sway for over 70 years. Only the legendary Toyotomi Hideyoshi, at the
head of a 200,000 man army, was able to remove the Hojo from power and
unify Japan under his control.
Our Hojo player has achieved all the glory of his historical
counterpart and more. Surging ahead to 7 SCs, largely at Oda's
expense, Hojo is now tied with Mori for second place in our game, and
each only one SC behind our leader, Chosokabe Motochika.
Sadly, Takeda's attempt to seize Hida fails, and we bid farewell to
our first player. Nathan, thanks for sticking this one out, I think
the map is largely to blame for your misfortune, and will be revised
accordingly.
***TEAHOUSE COMMENTARY: Satomi Yoshihiro trembles in Hitachi, and
offers grateful prayers as the hooves of Hojo and Uesugi cavalry drive
west. Mighty Shingen of Takeda is driven into exile, and watches to
see the fate of his rivals. The Yamana clan of Inaba are driven from
their home, the latest of many ancient clans that find ruin in the
Sengoku-Jidai.

DC 306: Sengoku Rev6DP - Spring 1572 - NMR - Kenshi777 (Apr 23, 2010, 12:02 pm) |
My apologies to all for the delayed adjudication. I was attempting to
verify what unfortunately did prove to be an NMR from Mori. I further
ran into a network outage at the office this morning that was just
resolved. Which brings us to the here and now - hand adjudicating at
my reserve center, with no access to RP or a map editor. I would like
to ask if one of you would please enter these results into your copy
of RP, and then send the map and RP file to all the players/observers
receiving this email. I will check the DPY file and map, and certify
them as official when I am home.
TEAHOUSE COMMENTARY, by Sen Rikyu: The mighty Takeda have been driven
from their home, and divided by Uesugi, Oda, and Hojo...but what will
come of those three now? Tsutsui Junkei of Yamato has fallen before
the armies of Asakura and Oda, and was abandoned by his neighbour
Suzuku Sadayu of Kii. Chosokabe begins his own drive for the capital
and the shogunate, surging into Harima. Mori rests for a season, but
seems to have suffered no loss in the spring, while Shimazu prepares
to receive Chosokabe's wrath...

To whom it may concern,
Uesugi has decided that it is time to visit Mt. Fuji, that most holy of mountains. Once there he plans to spend some time engaging in activities involving snow, planks of wood, and strong spirits. During this time he has announced that he is not to be disturbed. If you wish to communicate something to Uesugi before he cuts himself off from the world, please consider sending missives during the next 24 hours.
Uesugi plans to return to his home towns on the 22nd of March.

The following update is purely preferential, but for those who would
prefer to see historically accurate unit icons, delete the original
variant files and replace them with these.
Note - any saved games you have with the old files should still work
fine with the new ones, but your player color *may* have changed
slightly.
Thanks!

The following update is purely preferential, but for those who would
prefer to see historically accurate unit icons, delete the original
variant files and replace them with these.
Note - any saved games you have with the old files should still work
fine with the new ones, but your player color *may* have changed
slightly.
Thanks!

No prob - this time - do *not* erase all the existing files. Only
extract the files in the attached zip into and alongside the existing
icon files foler (which is inside your SengokuRev6DP folder)
