WB10 DC295 W09 DIAS VOTE FOR MON - m_don_j (Mar 15, 2010, 9:45 am) |
One should not play [u:888d74aaff]for[/u:888d74aaff] a draw, but rather [u:888d74aaff]to[/u:888d74aaff] a draw. There's a ton of gaming left post England, I would be surprised if no-one took a shot at the solo.
My 2 cents.

.ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} Rob, just give up the dias vote idea. It ain't happening while you're around. Russia can build a fleet in Stp next winter, and then there's nothing you can do. I wouldn't even agree to a 3-way until all your centers are ours (due to the Winter Blitz scoring system where every center counts).
You've played a great game, so it's nothing personal at all. I just want to get the additional points for a 3-way over a 4-way.
I vote "No" on the dias.

DC 298 Spring 1910 Adjucation - untitled36 (Mar 15, 2010, 9:08 am) |
Hey all,
This turn we say a tentative goodbye to our first casualty. Austria loses it's last unit. Thanks for sticking with it to the end!
In other news, England NMRed again, but no siginifcant fallout resulted from it, as French and English forces continue to stare menacingly at one another. France does manage to nab Berlin, though, thus forcing Ber to retreat to Pru, Sil, or OTB.
Get me that retreat by tomorrow! After that, I'll see the rest of you on Thursday at 13:00! Happy Stabbing!

Easy gents,
It's a game, remember? If you really want to point fingers, almost any solo
is the fault of everyone else for not banding together to stop it. Why not
add Fredrik to your list for sending lots of units north for the sake of a
few Venezuelan centres when the real threat was in the south? Or Venezuela
and me for not promising to hold back while Bolivia and Brazil worked
together against the Chile-Paraguay alliance while it was still together?
Gary's played a good game and his stab for the solo was well timed. This is
a good win.

My apologies - I NEVER meant to imply that this was not a good
win. Gary did an excellent job of playing the players as well as the
game and that's generally how you win. No hard feelings at all.

Easy gents,
It's a game, remember? If you really want to point fingers, almost any solo is the fault of everyone else for not banding together to stop it. Why not add Fredrik to your list for sending lots of units north for the sake of a few Venezuelan centres when the real threat was in the south? Or Venezuela and me for not promising to hold back while Bolivia and Brazil worked together against the Chile-Paraguay alliance while it was still together?
Gary's played a good game and his stab for the solo was well timed. This is a good win.

YOU set us down this course when you opted to work with
Chile and leave Bolivia dangling alone.
I warned you.

Yeah, that Bolivian NMR was the end for all of us. Who's to blame for that again?

Votes are in!
2-way draw?
Bah!
That's right, this game is henceforth to be remembered as Not Now, I've Got To Stab My Brazillian Llama Friend... as Chile makes a move to get his first solo in seven years of play here at diplomaticcorp... Can it be stopped?
Find out next Wed! 3pm Central.
(Paraguay can take this turn off)
There was one retreat, but Brazilian A Mar could only go to Sam so I just moved it there.
