Hey everybody,
Thanks for all the patience. Thanks especially to Stephen for holding down the fort while I was away. I'm ready to resume GM duties immediately, as I'm finally fully online.

Stephen's deadline will stand, and I'll re-adjust the time zone once I set the next deadline.

Thanks everyone,

DC 227 - The Nightly Update - former.trout   (Feb 26, 2009, 1:49 am)
Heya all,

I know I'm starting to sound like one of those old radio broadcasts, but thought I'd keep you all up-to-date.  Babak has been in touch and has asked the following press be passed along:

"Friends (and foes) please accept my apologies - my cpu is overridden with virusus, including much of my work docs and other items.  I have my phone with horrid email interface and no map view.  But I want to try to keep our various alliances and wars ongoing - please don't hold my lack of communication against me.  I have purchased a new computer, so I should be set up to go late next week.   Hope to fully re-engage you all soon"

Meanwhile, I've placed the game into Recruiting status and will be actively looking to find a replacement Sultan.  Steve, please let me know ASAP if you wish to continue in the game.

Cheers!

DC222 Two Steps To Anarchy- Spring 05 - Dutch Brow... - former.trout   (Feb 26, 2009, 1:40 am)
Heya Two-Steppers,

Managed to get a hold of Babak for the Italian orders and he asked me to pass along the following press:

ITALIAN PRESS:
"Friends (and foes) please accept my apologies - my cpu is overridden with virusus, including much of my work docs and other items.  I have my phone with horrid email interface and no map view.  But I want to try to keep our various alliances and wars ongoing - please don't hold my lack of communication against me.  I have purchased a new computer, so I should be set up to go late next week.   Hope to fully re-engage you all soon"

The Spring turn sees Russia push on into Germany, England stymie the French movement in the British Isles and unfortunately a miscommunication in the German command structure.  Net result is two German disbands due for Summer - from Belgium and Munich.

Deadline for Summer 05 orders will be set for Saturday, Feb 28th (11:59 PM GMT).  We're going with a slightly longer deadline to stretch things out a little for Babak while he gets his gear back online.

Please let me know if you spot any errors.  Cheers gang!

DC224 Slaughter At StoryTime - Spring 04 - An Ogre... - former.trout   (Feb 26, 2009, 1:00 am)
Gents and Ladies of StoryTime,

Here's the long and short of it.  Our friendly Ogre managed to get orders in after some consultation with your humble GM concerning the map and the unit positions.  However there remained no word from the Centaurs.  So its judgement time for yours truly, and although I typically run non-NMR games I feel that in the interest of keeping the game moving that I will make an exception here.

Well, there's also the fact that the Centaur position has one center and is in some dire straits...  =)

So we have at it!  Due to the delay, I'll skip the usual colour and simply get to the meat of the turn.  Two retreats are required - one from the Gnomes and the second from the Samurai.  Deadline for Summer 04 orders will be set for Friday, February 27th (11:59 PM GMT).

Please identify any errors you spot.  Cheers!

Folks,
As some of you know things have been pretty hectic in my house lately. The kids and I came down with a horrible stomach virus that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The kids and I are finally better but we just received word that my husband is being sent back to his home base a few days earlier. That leaves me little less then a week to get packed, find us a truck and an apartment in San Antonio. During this time Stephen Lytton will be taking over GMing for you go so all orders from now on are to be sent to stevelytton(at)hotmail.com.
As soon as we get into San Antonio and we get settled I will take back over. Stephen will be setting a new deadline I believe. Have fun guys and take care. I'll be back in about 2 -3 weeks.. ( hopefully 2! )

DC205 The Pleiades - Fall 1910 - Rattle And Hum - former.trout   (Feb 25, 2009, 2:36 pm)
Hey all,

It appears there's still a little fight left as the French solo proposal is voted down.  While the forces of Paris strengthen their position in the center, Russia reclaims Warsaw and Italy makes port in Trieste and Bulgaria.

No retreats are needed - we cruise smartly on into the Winter turn.  A build apiece is due from Italy and France, and Russia must regrettably send two units home.  Deadline for Winter 1910 adjustments will be set for Friday, February 27th (11:59 PM GMT).

Just let me know if you spot any errors.  Cheers!

Hey 227ers,

Okay - I've now heard from all players except for two. And this is what I was afraid of. Both Babak (Russia) and Steve C (Turkey) are absent without orders...

Babak, at least, has been in touch. He is having computer difficulties which he is currently resolving. However he is not sure they are resolvable... Steve C on the other hand has simply dropped off the map.

We'll see if another 48 hours will do the trick. I'll also start dropping out feelers and see if there's anyone lurking in the wings that may be able to act as replacement players. I may not be able to push out a turn before Andy gets back due to this, but I'll make sure that we get the game back to him suited up and ready to run.. =P

Don't lose faith folks. These troubles are only temporary and the game will be firing on all cylinders before you can say Rutabaga!

DC 227 - The Continuing Saga - former.trout   (Feb 24, 2009, 9:22 pm)

I may not be able to push out a turn before Andy gets back due to this, but I'll make sure that we get the game back to him suited up and ready to run.  =P

Don't lose faith folks.  These troubles are only temporary and the game will be firing on all cylinders before you can say Rutabaga!

Heya guys,

Well, three out of seven is almost fifty percent...  =P

Guess we'll need that extra time after all.  I still need to hear from four of you before we can roll the turn.  If I don't have your orders, I've already sent you a seperate email.

I'll be in touch again tomorrow night with more word.  Cheers!

If it helps I can sacrifice my time and to keep E, G, and Italy happy by keeping the game going I would gladly spend some time making orders for R and T. Really.... not a bother, not a worry, no problem.... France can do this in the spirit of keeping the game moving along...
Just trying to help...
What........ not buying the idea? Gee wiz, folks I am just trying to help.........
OK, I will wait until we get things worked out. But If England Germany and Italy wanna keep things going just let me know I am willing to help!!!
;-}

Just saw this... You can actually subscribe to any game / forum, just go to Forum Subscriptions at the top of the message board, and subscribe to the forum you'd like. You'll then get copied on all the adjudications.
