DC215 Fall 1905 Results - MattTheLesser   (Jan 12, 2009, 8:20 pm)
We have our first elimination, as Austria's last army is disbanded by
Italian forces in Serbia. Elsewhere, France holds his line against
Germany, who loses Denmark to Russia. Russian forces also nab Ankara
and Budapest for a three build year.

Only Italy and Russia have builds (and nobody has removals). I'll set
the deadline for two days from now, Wednesday, January 14, at 9 pm, but
I'll send the adjustments as soon as I receive them from both players.

DC191 Study In Baltic - Spring 1913 - The Red Circ... - former.trout   (Jan 12, 2009, 7:42 pm)
Heya folks,

Our stray orders found their way in early this morning. Thanks to all of you for hanging on through the weekend. I think its worth the wait, as Poland regains Kattegat but at the expense of Malmo - leaving it open for the Swedes to slip right in. Meanwhile, the Fins move past their beachhead and find lodging in Narew.

One retreat is needed after the Spring - the Swedish fleet in Kattegat was given their eviction papers. Possible retreats are Bolmen (wc), Skaggarak or OTB.

Also, there's been a flurry of diplomatic proposals hitting the table. Two possibilities have come up for votes:
1. A Finnish - Swedish draw
2. A Finnish solo

Deadline for Summer 13 retreats and your yay or nay vote for both proposals will be set for Wednesday, January 14th (11:59 PM GMT). Let me hear your boogaloo!!

Cheers!

Map Correction - mtodd0004   (Jan 12, 2009, 5:41 pm)
Sam,

Would it be possible, though I know it is more time consuming, to cut-and-paste how each player types out their orders? You do not have to do it for this season, but it would be nice for upcoming seasons. If it is a hassle, do not bother with it.

Grace and Peace,

Michael

The move to by Russia to the Gulf of Bothnia should be processed as successful. I pray that the administration at DC will overturn that, and I encourage all to cut-and-paste one's orders from an adjudication software, like Realpolitik.

Hello again, everyone! We kick off our tournament game with mostly successful orders. The only bounces are in the Black Sea and Galicia, leaving Russia as the only power to suffer two failed moves.

Naturally, there are no retreats yet, so we move directly to fall 1901, for which orders will be due Thursday, January 15 at 3pm Central (US). Prelims are highly encouraged. Also, please don't forget to cc: the orders box when sending me your orders. Thanks!

DC-227 Rule Clarification - TheWhiteWolf   (Jan 12, 2009, 4:07 pm)
Folks,
I've had a couple questions about ownership of SCs. Here's the skinny: All your home centers are yours, regardless of occupation by one of your units. I've pasted the list of SCs owned by each power at the beginning of the game. Don't worry, guys, you don't have to spend time occupying these centers - they're yours, free and clear.

DC-184 Game Over - TheWhiteWolf   (Jan 12, 2009, 4:04 pm)
Folks,
Since I've already received votes from the three remaining players, I don't see a point to continuing until the deadline. A DIAS (FIR) has passed unanimously, and this game is over. Congratulations to Joe Hackett, Chris Morse and Ross Webb.
I'd like to thank, especially, Mark Utterback and Germán Zorba for taking up replacement positions (E and T, respectively) and playing them out til the end.
EoG statements are welcome - you may send them to the entire group or to me, and I will compile them.
Thanks, everyone. I hope you all enjoyed playing this game as much as I enjoyed GMing it.

Thanks to you, Wolf. It was a pleasure on this end, too. This is actually the third game I've finished in recent weeks, and I'm still working on my other EOGs, but I'll certainly put something out when I can -- and if the other guys do. I hate being the only one.

This turn was adjudicated without a full set - Russia has already used up his grace period, and thus the NMR was enforced. If Russia also NMR's the retreat, the unit will be disbanded, and he will get a build. If Russia also NMR's his build, no unit will be built. If Russia NMR's the coming Spring turn, I will put the game on hold and seek out an replacement.

So, let's have the retreat and builds by Wednesday January 14th, 20:00:00 GMT+1

If you'd like, you can send conditional builds based upon if Russia disbands the fleet or not (since that happens prior to builds/removals).

Also, just as Russias NMR shows, send in prelims!

Have fun!

DC234 Spring '01 Adjudication (Winter Blitz) mtodd0004 Jan 12, 05:39 pm
The move to by Russia to the Gulf of Bothnia should be processed as successful. I pray that the administration at DC will overturn that, and I encourage all to cut-and-paste one's orders from an adjudication software, like Realpolitik.

DC 233: Adjudicated Map - AceRimmer   (Jan 12, 2009, 11:32 am)
While the pre-adjudication map with all the arrows is surely helpful, let me also append the post-adjudication map with all of the correct unit positions.

Isn't the deadline for Fall turn supposed to be Thursday, not Wednesday as you stated? I thought tournament games ran Monday/Thursday for Spring/Fall?

DC 233: Spring 1901 Takeoff - AceRimmer   (Jan 12, 2009, 11:28 am)
The blitz is underway! Hopefully, your excitement is palpable.

First, a couple of housekeeping notes. Zzzzz... I have a Wednesday a.m. workshop; the F1901 adjudication will be delayed a couple/few hours. On Thursday, the 22nd I will be away. Since that will be F1902 retreats, we can hopefully have retreats done before the end of the day Wednesday... but if not, then I will have to ask Trout or Sims to adjudicate. Either way, I will make things obvious by the end of the day on Wednesday the 21st.

Further, I will generally copy orders from RealPolitik for adjudications (as opposed to orders as writte) except in the case of misorders or strange orders, in which case I will fudge (see England¢s orders for an example).

Finally, I sometimes lose internet during bad weather here in northern Iowa.

Deadlines are always at 1000 CST. No retreats tomorrow (duh!). F1901 is due on Wednesday. Errors/protests should still be filed by 1000 CST tomorrow.

S1901 Adjudication:

Austria:
A Budapest - Serbia

A Vienna - Budapest

wolfie,

do we have to occupy our own home centers, ala 1898 dip, or are we just assumed to have control of them?
