So I received everyone's adjustments a little early, so here's the
adjudication. As expected units pop up all over the board; the waters
may become especially crowded as every nation that could built at least
one fleet.

The deadline for Spring 1902 will be this coming Tuesday, October 28, at
9 pm eastern. Send prelims before that!

Ten players? - former.trout   (Oct 24, 2008, 8:06 am)
Hi Tom,

Seven players is usually the amount you need for a standard game. Were you planning on playing a variant? Not sure how else you'll be able to fit ten players into a game.

If it's a standard game you're looking for, I'm sure someone can oblige you and GM. A variant game is a little different however - sometimes its harder to find a GM for those.

Hello All,

Please note we had two nations with NMRs again this fall: England and
Austria.

ENGLAND! Unless you submit a retreat order by Thursday, October 23,
your nation will be in civil disorder... you will be out of the game!
English F Norway can retreat to Skagerrak or Norwegian Sea or Barents
Sea. (Other players... curious what happens with civil disorder...
visit the house rules at
http://diplomacy.ellsworthlink.net/jmehouserules.html.)

Other players... England is the only nation with a retreat... but it
will not impact winter builds/disbands. WINTER 1903 BUILDS/DISBANDS ARE
DUE MONDAY, OCTOBER 27. If I get them all, I will do it earlier. If I
have all but England AND I have not heard from England by Thursday, I
will do it earlier. Here are the builds/disbands:

Austria: Remove 1
England: Remove 2
France: Build 0
Germany: Build 1
Italy: Build 1
Russia: Build 4
Turkey: Remove 1

Here are the Fall 1903 Results:

A Greece Hold
A Serbia Hold
A Trieste Hold
A Tyrolia Hold
A Vienna Hold

England:
F English Channel Hold
A Liverpool Hold
F London Hold

DC191 Study In Baltic - Fall 1908 - The Resident P... - former.trout   (Oct 24, 2008, 12:31 am)
Ah... Our poor neglected heroes Holmes and Watson. With apologies once again, I find myself late in issuing the adjudication and need to get it out without the continuation of our storyline. If time permits tomorrow, I will put pen to paper and issue a minor update.

But game-wise, we see Finland continue to power into southern waters with Swedish assistance. This time it is the Polish fleet in the Mid Baltic that falls prey to the northern duo. With no retreat possible, that fleet is disbanded and we find ourselves in need of one build each from Sweden and Poland. Deadline for Winter 1908 adjustments will be set for Saturday, October 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

Please let me know if you spot any errors, all. Cheers!

Heya fellow caped crusaders,

Normally I bend over backward to ensure a full set of orders, but with having just had double the time to submit and no build order forthcoming from Italy, I'll move the ball forward and adjudicate with a waived build for our green power. Meanwhile Bohemia is cleared of Russian troops and Turkey reinforces Smyrna with some fresh meat for the grinder.

That should do it for 1905. Deadline for Spring 1906 orders will be set for Wednesday, October 29th (11:59 PM GMT). Cheers!!

Heya folks,

China retreats Inner Mongolia to Manchuria and sends the other two units to tend the rice-paddies. The proposed Dutch solo vote is batted down and we sojurn onwards for at least one more season. Will this be the end as predicted? Or will some last reserve of will be mustered to go tilting at windmills?

Deadline for Fall 1879 orders will be set for Wednesday, October 29th (11:59 PM GMT). I'm caught away from my work laptop tonight unfortunately - will issue the summer map first thing tomorrow.

Cheers all!

DC205 The Pleiades - Winter 1903 - A Farewell To A... - former.trout   (Oct 23, 2008, 11:31 pm)
Heya gang,

Alright, with a few extra hours we were able to rope in all the varied sets of adjustments. Admittedly, I did extend a little longer than I should have in this instance - mostly because I felt fairly awful about causing the long delay myself last week. I will do this once for each of you, if needed, for fairness sake. However one of you has now used his free pass. =)

Game-wise, we bid farewell to our friendly Arch-Duke and look forward to seeing him in the next game. France builds below the Eiffel tower, opposing fleets spring up in Naples and Smyrna and Germany scuttles ships in Edinburgh and Kiel. I'm going to try to spruce up the deadlines a little - setting the Spring 1904 deadline for Tuesday, October 28th (11:59 PM GMT). Just let me know if that's going to be too quick for anyone.

Cheers folks!

Trout
