There are 2 mistakes caught already, The southlands moved to Cairhien, not Caemlyn and the Seafolk move out to the Aryth ocean, not Arad Doman.
Oh, and now I see that Bream wood supported Aringill to Cair not Caemlyn.
Man I must have smoked something good this morning!
So the Southlands dont build, and the Midlands only disband one.

Quite a few changes to the map this winter as the Southlands surge forward and the Midlands fall back on two fronts.
The only retreat necessary is Baerlon, which can only go to Whitebridge, so I have ordered thus.

Now that the game is down to three players I do not wish to scupper the position by playing on with just two of you - especially when everything hangs in the balance. Despite the fact that I did not want to use replacements in this game, I think that the only realistic way of getting any satisfaction from this end-game is to recruit a replacement England, if Alf doesn't get in touch.
I'll start putting feelers out for a suitable player, but please be aware that there will need to be a pause in the game to bring whoever steps in up to speed.
If you do not wish me to seek a replacement, I'd suggest we call it a day.
Please let me know your thoughts (CC all on this mail in, so we can keep an open dialogue)

if Alf doesn't come back to us - I sure hope all is well with Alf - I also favour a replacement for England as it will keep the game more interesting. Whoever signs up for running England will definitely have an interesting play with plenty of opportunities.

We're back on track in Spring 1908 - my thanks for the patience over the weekend. Some interesting events result from the turn, as England storms into St. Petersburg, Russia lays claim to the Berlin coast and French guns bombard Naples. The existing units in all three places are blotted from the board.
No retreats are required, and we move on into Fall 1908. Deadline will be set for Friday, March 21st (11:59 PM GMT) - and might I please add - Prelims, Prelims, Prelims!!!
Our CD selection once again wound to a close with the last adjudication, and we found our subject headers coming from Radioheads classic album Hail To The Thief. A fresh disc has been spun up and put in begining with this turn.

Meanwhile Russia disbands in Prussia and Norwegian Sea, and the last English army settles in for dinner with Martha.
We've got a bit of a stretch before us, with one of our number away and travelling for a week. Deadline for Spring 1908 orders will be set for Tuesday, March 25th (11:59 PM GMT).

Winter 1910 gets ... messy.
All German units are blotted from the board. Russia issues a void retreat - resulting in the disband of the retreating unit. Turkey fails to submit either retreat or disbands - sending A Ankara retreating OTB and F East Med disbanding as the only unit not on a center.
Armies built across the board. And, on top of it all, we have a French solo proposal. Surviving players may submit their yay or nay votes with the Spring 1911 orders. Not voting will count as a 'no'. Deadline, as always for Spring, will be set for Monday March 17th (11:59 PM GMT).

Definitely a board in movement, as we had some stand-downs and some stand-ups all across the board. Things continue to tumble to and fro in Asia, the Japanese continue their revision of their front line position and France strikes into the Ionian.
Three retreats are required after the Spring turn - two from Austria and one from Brazil. Needing new homes are the army in Dar Es Salaam, the fleet in the Ionian and the Brazilian navy in Recife. Deadline for Summer 1870 will be set for Friday, March 14th (11:59 PM GMT).
