Once again a day goes by without results, you wonder why…
Your GM is a busy guy! And couldn’t run the turn before.
But do not fret this game delayed, with visions straight and courses stayed
We get back to the fields frayed and scattered full of elven lore
Of hidden moves in wooded lands that only serves to underscore
That in this game, they are no more.[Reply] |

Trout et al,
In my shame, I forgot all about Canada Day. As a Michigander, and therefore honorary Canuck, I feel it is my American duty to honor the traditions of our northern brethren. I have no Canadian beer to drink but, as luck may have it, I *do* have a French Canadian in the house to thoroughly trounce this evening.

All these close-combat situations and strategically clever moves have caused several countries to change Powers quite unexpectedly. Reminder - our deadline is next week, Wednesday July 2nd.
It was pointed out to me that I neglected to send out an updated map post-retreats from the Spring.
Attached is that update.
Remember - the shading of the home centers represents who owned them in the Fall. That way it should help show who has centers at risk and where.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Open sesame of love...
Unfortunately, there's no love on the board for France. Through a series of prophetic moves, our Parisian prancer manages to keep all a-bounce in the north. The south is a different matter, however... Meanwhile, things are beginning to look very good for our Kaiser...
No retreats are required, we'll move directly into Fall 1914. Deadline for orders will be set for Monday, July 7th (11:59 PM GMT). Let me know if you spot any errors..

Okay, moment of Truth here now. I leave for vacation on Monday and the way this is going, it appears Germany will have this solo. Currently the only thing that has any chance of stopping this is Turkey. So...
I have one question I want Turkey to answer. Will you continue to prove a point against me and hand Germany the game?
If so then I propose a German Solo and rush vote due Wednesday night (if okay with Trout). If not then at the very least open up some talks.
Jake, not sure how my aggression towards you was worse than Germany's but if you are handing him the game, then say so and end it. None of us need to wait another couple weeks before Germany finally gets that last dot if you have already committed to fighting me and not making an effort to stop him.
To me it doesn't matter, I waived my shot at a solo when I decided to honor an alliance instead of stab for easy dots and an easy solo in 1909. But there is absolutely no way Turkey can get to a prominent number without Germany getting the solo - it is impossible. Thus unless Turkey is willing to radically and immediately change his stance then there is little point to continue.

Heya guys,
The perfect storm hits Germany as the Kaiser's 3 remaining centers all fall to 3 different powers. My thanks and gratitude go to Jyri for playing this one all the way to the end - things didn't quite go your way but thanks for sticking it out bro. =)
Meanwhile, all remaining powers have adjustments. We'll set the Winter 1910 deadline for Thursday, July 3rd (11:59 PM GMT).
Cheers everyone. Carry on with your bad selves.

Jorge, I am not discrediting what Joao has done. He and I have mashed over the last several turns at great lengths and obviously have different opinions and interpretions of things. I made a choice in fall of 1908 not to take advantage of a weak Germany, a locked up med and reeling Russia. Turns out it was the wrong choice. Joao worked his way back, appeased me as required and finally went for the solo.
As for you and I, well what can I say... part of the game and you were a means to my ends.

Groove with the genie.

Hi to all!
It seems that a victory to Germany is where this game is going, so ok, i’ll accept the suggestion of Rob for a solo.
Regardless of the outcome, i would like to thank you all for my return to Diplomacy, my favourite board game.
When I started this one i hadn’t played the game since around 1991, so i thank you all for this special return!

DC136 - German Solo Proposal - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Heya folks,
Well, judging from the chatter it looks as though we have a proposal and favorable results for a German solo proposal. However, I do need to formalize the results. If the three remaining survivors could confirm their yay or nay votes for a Germany solo to me in a private email, I would appreciate it. Deadline for the vote will be with the Fall orders - but I will announce the result earlier if I receive three votes marked 'FINAL'.
Cheers!

Heya guys,
Apologies about not getting this out last night - ye olde internet connection went down as I was in the middle of adjudicating my evening games. However, as we look at things this morning I find myself STILL two sets of orders short....
The players in question know who they are as I sent out notice yesterday afternoon.. Hopefully the orders will come in ASAP - I'll let everyone know the score later tonight. Just wanted to keep you all in the loop.
Cheers!

Everybody builds at least one, tho with 22 nations racking up 3 builds, anything less seems… uncivilized?
CHECK YOUR BUILDS BELOW! All 35 players are entitled to build. Builds are due to me by Monday July 7, however as soon as I get them all I’ll post the results.
One RETREAT is required, Mexico’s fleet Monterey can retreat to WGM or Vcz, or disband and Build 3 instead.
RETREATS and BUILDS are all due together - Monday July 7, 10am Pacific.
Special notice: Welcome Paolo, sforzapaolo(at)yahoo.com (sforzapaolo(at)yahoo.com), playing Catholica for year 2 - Mikael to return for year 3.
Enjoy!

WWIV f01 results! - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Enjoy!
