dc157 Spring 1904 Results. - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Come one, come all, to the ever changing field of dc157!

England gains the Netherlands, but loses control of the North Sea.
Austria nearly finishes the Turks, and moves to "support" Germany.

DC181 - Game Rules - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Dear Players,

As requested by one of our players, I shall be using the DC house rules to adjudicate should any questions come up.
If you wish to check these out they can be found here:

http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/info.php?type=houserules

Other than the starting positions, our game has no other abberations from the standard rule set, but I urge you to contact me if anything is not clear about the game.
PLEASE REMEMBER: You may only build in the standard home centres for each power.

Kind regards
D

DC181 - Game Rules - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
A player responded with the following:

"And to make it even more clear:
the only std Home SC at the start of the game is the one that is occupied by the unit; all other std Home SCs need to be 'conquered' first i.e. occupied by a unit at the end of Fall, right?
That means that anyone leaving the other SCs in its Home country untouched will have only one SC to build in, no matter how many other SCs he has occupied at the end of Fall, right?"

Which is exactly correct Smile

DC143 autumn 1904 results! - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Sorry for the delay, I had not received both sets of retreat orders in time to send out the results before leaving work Thursday.

The autumn 1904 retreats are as follows:

England:
F Belgium - English Channel
A Norway - St Petersburg

Germany:
disband A Silesia

As a result of England's retreat to StP and Germany's retreat OTB, the winter 1904 status is as follows:

Austria: Supp 11 Unit 10 Build 1
England: Supp 3 Unit 4 Remove 1
France: Supp 8 Unit 7 Build 1
Germany: Supp 6 Unit 5 Build 1
Russia: Supp 6 Unit 7 Remove 1

Yes, every remaining player has either a build or removal order due. The winter 1904 deadline is still over 24 hours away, on Tuesday 4/29 at 23:59 GMT. The updated map and RP file are attached.

Thanks, everyone!

Cory

My dear Rulers,

I understand you're very busy exchanging diplomatic messages while also trying to keep your people happy, but Tuesday 23.00 GMT is the deadline for your Spring 1902 orders.
Please submit your orders in time or risk a NMR (and disappointed allies).
If your name is listed as one of the BCC above, it means I have not received any orders from you yet.

Your GM

Spring 1904: 18h00 GMT/UTC, Tuesday, 13th May 2008

DC170 spring 1906 results! - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The French President, having been forced to evacuate Paris last year, seems to have lost communication with his forces. England takes advantage, sailing unopposed to the south coast of Spain, with a German fleet following to MAO. Austria sails to Western Med, and Turkey moves to Tunis. Austria also pushes armies down the boot, occupying Naples and solidifying his hold on Rome. Germany successfully defends both Kiel and StP against A/T attacks. Behind the front lines, an Austrian army moves to Serbia, while the Turks move a fleet to Aegean and an army to Con -- is there discord in the A/T alliance now that there is a substitute Archduke?

No units are dislodged, so we move directly to fall 1907, which will be due Thursday 5/1 at 3pm Pacific. Thanks!

Cory

dc179 Blackmarch Spring 01 Results - CHANGE for up... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
All,
Per a player request, we will maintain our deadline of this Friday [5pm since I didn't note it before]
BUT we will change the retreat/build deadline subsequent to those orders to be Monday the 5th at
5pm CST. That will allow one of our players who is out of town time to get builds in [and avoid having
to write ridiculously conditional builds/retreats].

Thanks.

Nothing too out of the ordinary and we are off. I apologize for the slight
delay getting results out. Only one slight hiccup [an Italian misorder] but
other than that all is good.

NEXT DEADLINE: Fall 1901 Friday May 2nd CST

From there we will have retreats/builds/disbands due over the weekend unless someone has an issue with that. We won't always follow that pattern because I will be out of town for the next few weekends. We will have to workaround that. If someone can't/doesn't check email on the weekends then let me know and we can go with a different timing for retreats/builds.

LotM-All: A bit about the game name. Blackmarch is a barony of the Commonwealth in a story I am writing. It is so named because of the ancient battle that took place where an older race, the Ichakans, tried to force the indigenous peoples into submission. Eventually the Ichakan were successful and Blackmarch became a part of the Ancient Empire. Today it is a powerful barony due to its proximity to the Commonwealth capital.

DC153 Spring 1908 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
And...absolutely nothing happens as powers really become support happy.
I really mean it too: a total of 4 units moved. Are these alliances set
or will somebody make the game-turning stab?

Another DIAS has been proposed. Please include your votes with your
Fall 1908 orders, which are due this Friday, May 2, at 9 pm eastern.

DC177 Fall 1901 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
A very eventful fall as some not so friendly relationships begin.
Germany and France team to wrest the North Sea from England, Russia
steals Vienna from Austria, and every neutral except Portugal is claimed.

There is one retreat due from England. It is due tomorrow, Wednesday,
April 30, at 9 pm eastern. Following that, Winter adjustments will be
due for all players on Friday, May 2, at 9 pm eastern. With both the
retreat and adjustments, remember, all orders are presumed final unless
explicitly marked as preliminary and I will adjudicate as soon as I have
a set of orders from everyone.
