[quote:7d87d47cd5] Hi guys,

Sorry for the little delay there. It was quite a night......

No retreat from Russia, so his unit is disbanded.

Fall is due on Friday, May 9th, 21:00 MDT. Send prelims! And I accept conditionals for retreats, adjustments, or even regular orders.

-----------------------------
Austria:
A Rumania - Serbia

Russia:
A Galicia, no move received (*Disbanded*)
-----------------------------

It has come to my attention that I've been recording the season numbers on the website incorrectly. I will fix that up soon.

Maps are attached. Have fun.

EVERYONE wants Munich but Germany holds true.
Russia and Turkey seem to be on the same page...in the wrong way!
Bounces abound, most by Russia and Turkey.
AND France foregoes a guaranteed build in Por to gain entry into the
Med.
An interesting 1902 awaits! Too early to see what alliances hold.

Ah...once again a misorder [this time outlined in the orders below]. As previously committed, builds are due Monday, May 5th at 5pm CST. No retreats are required.

Point of inquiry - what should be our next deadline beyond that? I will be out of town Friday 9th to Sunday 11th. Should we hold orders for Spring 1902 until Sunday OR try to fit in orders by Thursday 5pm on the 8th? Majority rules. In light of votes, we will default to the LATER deadline to make sure that all get a proper chance to play the game.

That's it! Next is Spring 07, back to Steve.

I'll let him set the deadline at his normal time, so assume it's at whatever time he typically did on Mondays. Be sure to copy orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com), in case he's not back in time I can still run the turn then. If I end up running it, it'll be at 2pm on Monday. I believe Steve's deadlines were super early on each day, so this 2pm should be well after we've had time to see if he's back or not.

Enjoy,

Subject: Diplomacy game starting

We've finally got seven confirmed players, so we're ready to rock and roll! We haven't got a game number yet, but that will be forthcoming in the next couple of days. The game number's important as I need you to use it in the headers of any emails you send me, per my house rules, otherwise the mail won't get caught by my email filter.

Anyway, the important bit - the power allocation and the players of the game are:

Austria is Stuart Joy...(Site ID: lewellin), email: gadmiralthrawn(at)juno.com (gadmiralthrawn(at)juno.com)

England is Joao Queiros...(Site ID: jlq), email: jlqueiros3(at)hotmail.com (jlqueiros3(at)hotmail.com)

France is Rachael Jameson...(Site ID: Verticallychallangedcutie), email: verticallychallangedcutie(at)yahoo.com (verticallychallangedcutie(at)yahoo.com)

Germany is Hizer Ali...(Site ID: hizzy1Cool, email: hizerali(at)googlemail.com (hizerali(at)googlemail.com)

Italy is Craig Connell...(Site ID: cbconnell), email: cbconnell(at)gmail.com (cbconnell(at)gmail.com)

Russia is Nick Cherrier...(Site ID: zeclient), email: zeclient(at)hotmail.com (zeclient(at)hotmail.com)

Turkeu is Francis Banville...(Site ID: frank99), email: francisbanville12(at)hotmail.com (francisbanville12(at)hotmail.com)

I couldn't give everyone their first choice, but I think everyone's got one of their top 2.

As it's the first turn, and therefore the turn with typically the most discussion between the players, the deadline for Spring 1901 moves will be 2000 GMT on 12th May.

A couple of notes:

1. Be sure to check out my house rules, which are linked from the page of the game

2. The facility to send anonymous messages exists - just forward me the message you want sent, and who you want it sent to, and I'll pass it on.

3. I'd encourage folk to send preliminary orders in - you never know when technology will let you down or you'll be caught without email access!

4. Any questions about the game or rules I'm happy to help - just drop me an email

Have fun!

Michael

DC153 Fall 1908 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Austria views the wrecked and smoking mass that is 1908 Europe, and asks -
"Can we not find a new path? A path of Five powers and not Seven? A path
where we may all feast on the food of the French, the grain of the Russians,
the... err, souvlaki of the Balkans and Greece, and the ... various
foodstuffs of the many independent sovereignties that we have so recently
begun to properly assimilate into our respective lands?

"Cannot North and South find a balance and recognize the stagnant waste
represented by our current state?

"Cannot we all just get along?

"Austria calls on her cousins in Berlin and far neighbors in London to take
heed, and consider not wasting our collective resources to such a degree.

"And thanks you all."

DC170 spring 1907 results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
The 3-way draw among England, Germany, and Turkey fails, so the game continues.

Not much action this turn, as the two alliances battle to a standoff in both Western Med and St. Petersburg. Austria successfully attacks the French fleet, which is scuttled. France does manage to slip out of Marseilles without an occupying force taking his place, possibly putting him in position to regain control of Paris or Brest.

The only dislodged unit is the French fleet, which has no valid retreats and is destroyed.

Fall 1907 orders will be due Thursday 5/8 at 3pm Pacific. There is a new endgame proposal for everyone to vote on as well, a 4-way draw among Austria, England, Germany, and Turkey. Please be sure to cast your vote along with your fall orders. Thanks!

Also, I believe Archduke Jason will now be rejoining the game. Jason, could you please confirm? Jorge, thanks for taking the Austrian helm and keeping the game moving.

Cory

dc153 reminder - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
tomorrow, 9 eastern. don't forget to vote on the DIAS!

Also, be aware that if the game goes two full years without a supply
center changing hands then the game is automatically declared a DIAS.
We just had one full year, so if this coming year passes by and no
centers switch hands again then the game will end.

Have moves from: England only

Need moves from: Austria, Italy, Turkey, Germany

Matt
