DC215 Spring 1909 Results - MattTheLesser   (Feb 28, 2009, 8:53 pm)
This game never ceases to surprise me. This spring sees Russia attempt
to pull out of Germany, only to find the road blocked by German fleets,
while Italy cries "Westward Ho!," only to also find a German army in the
way.

There was only one retreat due, and it only had one option, so I've sent
Russia's A Sil - War. Warren just let me know if you want it OTB.

Fall 1909 is up next, and we'll have it this coming Wednesday, March 4,
at 9 pm eastern. Please note that I am going to be extremely busy this
upcoming week, so bear with me if there are any delays.

I guess I was confused because you sent some Spring 1909 orders with the
builds - I assumed the word prelims referred to those, and thus I
adjudicated by my house rule that I consider builds final unless they
are specifically marked prelim. I highly doubt that Joe's build would
influence B's decision, so I am going to allow the change in build. In
the future please be as specific as possible when marking orders prelim,
final, ect. That said, with only three people left please do mark
orders final when you're ready - I'm hoping that our reduced number will
allow for some early adjudications!

This request is completely uninfluenced by Joe's build - rather it was
part of the internal debate that I was thinking about already. The GM
can verify that this build order had already been sent in one set of
the prelims submitted prior to the adjudication.

I would like to publicly propose a 3 way GIR draw.  I won't get past 15 going in either direction without being stopped, and these alliances will swing back and forth ad nauseum.   All three of us have some prospect of a solo, but none of us will let each other get all the way there.  Just as Joe and I turned on Warren, and now Warren and I are turning on Joe for a while, etc. etc. and in time Joe and Warren will turn on me.  This game has achieved stability - fluid stability, but stability all the same.

Both of these gentlemen have delivered a worthy performance, and I would be honored to share in a 3-way draw with them, if they are willing.

Well aren't you guys a bit jumpy!  Not 12 hours after the deadline and I've got multiple emails asking for the adjudication!  I guess it's good - shows you guys are really into this game.  You all just wouldn't survive a second in WWIV, where the adjudication was just put out last night when the deadline was on Monday.

As for happenings, some interesting developments in the north as Germany has now secured all of Britain, but loses his home center of Kiel to the Russians attacking from the...west?  And, in the south, Russia and Italy have finally overcome the Sultan's last two holdouts, and thus Turkey is the 4th power eliminated.  Many thanks to Vince for a well played game and for sticking it out even when it got rough.

So now we are three.  There was only one retreat: Russia's army Pru could go to Lvn or War.  I have sent it to War; Warren, if you want it in Lvn, or want to disband it for a build, just let me know.

I'll set the Winter 1908 deadline for this Monday, February 21, at 9 pm eastern.  Adjustments due are listed below the adjudication.

DC215 Spring 1908 Results - MattTheLesser   (Feb 16, 2009, 9:04 pm)
A lot of defense this season as the Czar holds the fort in Holland,
causing a roadblock for Germany's armies in France, and some supports in
the south lead to almost a total lack of movement. Other notable
happenings include Germany's whole navy pushing north and west and the
continued northward march of Italy's armies.

No retreats, so we progress straight to Fall 1908, which will be due
this Friday, February 20, at 9 pm eastern.

DC215 Fall 1907 Results - MattTheLesser   (Feb 09, 2009, 9:43 pm)
Another very interesting season! Russia does well in the north to seize
Holland, but finds some trouble in the south, with an Italian foursome
of units taking the Czar's Balkan centers for himself and the Sultan
keeping his two units alive by reclaiming Con, albeit at the cost of Ank.

Also we see our third elimination, as the Kaiser finally takes France's
final two units. Thanks again to Mark for stepping into that position
and holding down the fort quite well for a while.

We have no retreats, so we move right on to a winter season that, due to
some disbands, is chalk full of builds. Builds due are listed below the
adjudication, and as usual I will process them as soon as I have them
from all appropriate parties. The deadline will be this Wednesday,
February 11, at 9 pm eastern.

Marvelous - now that it's a day too late, I notice that my revised orders never successfully left my mailbox. So the prelims that I sent at the same time as the winter builds (before negotiating with anybody) just became official. What a wonderful day this is turning out to be.

DC215 Spring 1907 Results - MattTheLesser   (Feb 03, 2009, 10:40 am)
Some interesting developments this season as Italy pushes a couple units
west, Germany takes somewhat of a break from his attack on France, and,
something I don't think I've ever seen before, a Russian fleet heads to
the Helgoland Bight. In the east the Sultan suffers our only
dislodgement, and sees his F Con disbanded.

Thus we move directly to Fall 1904, which will be due this coming
Monday, February 9th, at 9 pm eastern. Send me final orders and I'll
adjudicate early!

Marvelous - now that it's a day too late, I notice that my revised orders never successfully left my mailbox. So the prelims that I sent at the same time as the winter builds (before negotiating with anybody) just became official. What a wonderful day this is turning out to be.

Warren - your curse is wearing off on me Sad

DC215 Fall 1906 Results - MattTheLesser   (Jan 24, 2009, 1:01 pm)
An eventful season to say the least! Turkey takes back Ankara to regain
all of his home centers, but loses all his other ones in the process,
Germany claims all of Iberia and takes back Paris before the French can
re-assimilate it, and Italy continues his eastward expansion, increasing
his size by 50%.

Also, the Germans finally break through the final English holdout in
Liverpool, and so we have our second elimination. Thanks you German for
a good game and for sticking out.

Moving forward, we have 3 retreats. However, all of them have only one
option so I have processed them so. Warren, let me know if you wish
yours OTB instead. Mark and Vince, you can just disband the unit in the
winter if you so choose.

Speaking of winter, the deadline will be this coming Tuesday, January
27, at 9 pm eastern. Adjustments due are listed below the adjudication.

DC215 Spring 1906 Results - MattTheLesser   (Jan 19, 2009, 10:40 am)
Sorry for the delay guys - I've had a bit of a busy weekend. France
finally has some success as he gets back into his two lost home centers,
but sees German fleets claim his waters in return, while the Kaiser and
the Czar produce a couple bounces. In the east Italy storms into
Budapest and the Aegean Sea while Turkey and Russia find themselves
entrenched against each other.

We have no retreats, so we progress directly to Fall 1906, which will be
due this Friday, January 23, at 9 pm eastern.

My apologies - Austria has been eliminated and thus it makes sense that
I don't have orders from him...

Three hours until the deadline if anyone wants to update but otherwise
we're good to go.

DC215 Winter 1905 Results - MattTheLesser   (Jan 12, 2009, 11:07 pm)
Now that's what I call speed! Builds are in well ahead of schedule, so
onward we press! And this means another deadline this week; awesome!
Spring 1906 is due this Friday, January 16, at 9 pm eastern.

Remember also that now, entering 1906, I will accept end-of-game
proposals. My rules for EOGs are pretty much the same as everyone
else's (the details are in my house rules), with the one exception that
I do not count an abstention as a no vote, but rather as a true
abstention. If you have questions first consult the house rules, and
then if you're still confused shoot me a question.
