Frank,

Even in the press you maintain your disinformation!  I have to give it to you for Machiavellian manipulation.  lol

Turkey,  I'm sorry you didn't see through Frank's lies to work with us.  We would have been in position to take Portugal had you followed through.

Mike

Subject: A&E 090205 / DC240: The Bulldog makes his move?

A&E 090205 / DC240: The Spring 1769 season has been adjudicated.  Clearly the biggest story of the season is that Frank appears to have made his move in going for the solo, taking Mecklenburg from the Danes, and moving his fleets east towards Scandinavia.  You can read his press for more tea leaves in interpreting British intentions.  Meanwhile, there is a Turkish army in Paris, for the first time in history (both real and surely in the history of the A&E variant).  Finally, one of our two remaining neutrals fell, with the Duchy of Courland finally surrendering to Danish advances.

The retreat deadline is over the weekend, let's say Sat night, although I won't adjudicate until Sun morning (or earlier Saturday if I received them).  Retreat orders are needed from Denmark, France, and Prussia.  The Fall 1769 deadline is Thu May 21st.

Here is our press:

Press (British)
Press:
England to France:
Mike, you might have been genuine with me. But from what I concluded
from talks with the board, coupled with what happened last season, I
couldn't buy you forgiving and forgetting. If I was incorrect in that
assessment, I am sorry.

England to Peanut Gallery: I'm sacrificing two centers for consolidation. I
can't wait to hear the roars/boos from the gallery over this move.

England
to Turkey and Denmark/Norway: I honored DMZs with both of you. Which
one (or both) of you is going to make me groan at my decision.
