Surely you see the sincerity of our position. The only thing that has
hence hindered our alliance and campaigns to rescue the lesser states of
Europe oppressed by Imperialist ambition has been fear. Your fear of our
naval superiority caused you to build a second navy, which endangered our
promised protection of Denmark and Sweden. We had previously tried to
remove our navies from your waters, only to see you bring all your forces
against our borders. Further efforts to de-militarize the region were
complicated by a wayward Italian navy.
We shall take the first step in good faith. Half our navies
will withdraw from the seas that abut your territories. We
trust that you will in time be motivated by our gesture to
remove your superfluous navy from Belgium, or at the least,
moor it in Holland.

Empires. The moment that confronts us now, however,
demonstrates a most urgent need for conversation if

Ottoman expansion into the Christian lands. We have our own
mind of what these navies are to do, but shall defer to Your

Dear King Edward,
It is with great warmth, joy and admiration that I receive your recent
communique.
The Ottoman invaders have run clear across the Carpathian Mountains and
are set to strike deep into the heart of the Motherland. I fear my
homeland is lost. A hasty retreat to the warm comforts of Italy and a
small advance into the cold climes of Russia seem to be my best courses of
action.
That being said, I welcome any *support* you can provide on the Italian
front. I myself plan to move into the waterways that surround Italy and
form a line against the Ottoman advances. If you could use your fleets to
help protect this line, I believe the Turk will need to find new avenues
for expansion.

It is with deep appreciation we write this missive.

I shall shortly be travelling and incommunicado for some days,
but let me assure you your gesture and words of strategy have
not passed unnoticed, indeed they will be heeded.

I shall start to realign my forces immediately along the lines
you suggest, and would much appreciate the withdrawal of your
forces along the lines of your latest letter.

If you can somehow order your STP unit to support my coming
Eastwards attack, then so much better for the two of us!

In order that we may reinstate the previous good relations
between us and to eliminate further errors due to lack of trust,
I would ask you to agree GOL as a DMZ and that you will not
land armies in BRE or adjacent to my territories.

This small piece of housekeeping is necessary before we become
totally embroiled in overcoming the Sultan's onrushing forces.
