Folks,

My bad on this one.  One of our players is on a trip all this week and setting a deadline for the 28th, when that is the day that he will just be returning, is patently unfair of me.  Didn't realize that I was so mean-hearted...

We'll revise the Spring vote and deadline order for Tuesday, June 30th (11:59 PM GMT).  Sorry for any confusion this might cause.

Cheers!

Heya guys,

Its three armies for Germany, one for Turkey and scattered disbands in the Tyrrhenian Sea and Armenia.  My thanks for your patience over the weekend as I requested order clarification.  There are several players in the game that are relatively new to the game and we're all still getting our feet on the ground concerning the rules - as it were...

Several players have asked me about it, and yes I can confirm that a German solo proposal has been placed on the table for everyones consideration.  Here is how the voting and possible results will work:

Along with your Spring orders, you will send me a yes or no vote on whether you agree with the German solo proposal.  If someone fails to vote, that counts as a 'no' as per my house rules.  I will not announce any information about the vote other than whether it succeeds or not - to succeed, all surviving players must vote yes.  It must be unanimous.

If the vote fails, we play on.  If the vote succeeds, then it means that Germany wins the game with a solo.  All surviving players are accorded a 'survival' for stats purposes.  You all get credit for the game, but the soloist is the only winner.

Draws among multiple players can be proposed and voted for as well.  There is debate in the diplomacy community over whether winning in a draw is actually winning, or whether a solo is the only true way to win.  It is your call for which side of that fence you wish to sit on.

But thats enough yammering from me.  Please let me know if there are further questions that I did not answer.  Deadline for Spring 1905 and your yay or nay vote for the German solo proposal will be set for Sunday, June 28th (11:59 PM GMT).  This is a weekend deadline, so if anyone has weekend access issues please send in orders early.  =)

Cheers all!

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
