Gents,

We'll extend 24 hours for the Winter adjustments - just in case my error changes anything...  Revised deadline for Winter adjustments will be set for Thursday, July 23rd (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers,

Trout

Heya all,

Thanks to the players who pointed out my error in the Fall 08 adjudication.  Between a stray chicken and an unfortunate bull-dozer incident I somehow missed that Mike had ordered the army in Edinburgh to Hold in place.  Rumours that his troops had broken into the Scotch supplies and were just too drunk to move remain unconfirmed.

The revised map and .dpy file are attached.  Bag-pipe music is played on this end, but I guess you'll all just have to imagine it.

Austria cleans the clock of our intrepid Sultan, who with France backing away from the Turkish peninsula finds no help at all.  The Germans make their way into Rumania, but lose Trieste to the rampaging and savagely taunting Frenchmen.  Meanwhile, Arthur continues his quest to find the Holy Grail only to find the French ALREADY in the North Sea!!  Is nothing sacred?!

My thanks to the admirable Mr. Clay for valiantly fighting things through to the end - even though his forces have been reduced to a single unit for quite some time.  Good luck in future games, Jeffrey!  We'll see you there.

Meanwhile, all the end-game proposals once again meet with defeat.  The diplomats once again return to the drawing board - only to find it thrown out the fourth-floor window and run over by the experimental tank division just for good measure.

Yikes.  Lots of action.

No retreats except for Turkey, who I auto-disbanded as it would have happened in Winter regardless.  Thus, Winter 1908 deadline will be set for Wednesday, July 22nd (11:59 PM GMT).

Salut!
