Honored Kings of the Dark Ages -

Welcome back to the battlefield - we see here the fallout from the
massive shift in alliances that took place last season. What appeared
to be the great invasion across the North Sea has been averted, both
north and south.

Both the Norse and Scots and the Danes and Anglo-Saxons peaceably
disengage, as the Norse armada plunges east to deal with the Danish
invaders. The Danes succeed in claiming two Norwegian dots, but the
loss of one will be offset by the Norse capture of the last Swedish
SC. Meanwhile, the Bretons face a concerted attack by Scots,
Anglo-Saxons, and Gaels that restores the Anglo-Saxons to their
previous holdings. The Gaels will surely be pleased by the restored
dominion over their homeland and successful convoy to Pengwern.

This season brings about the elimination of our Swedish player, Mark
Duffield. Mark, thanks for playing, and I welcome your EOG statement
and any thoughts on the variant.

Two Retreats are needed, both by the Bretons:

Breton F Cornwall can retreat to Bristol Channel, Somerset(nc),
Somerset(sc), or OTB.
Breton A Hamptonshire can retreat to Somerset, Sussex, or OTB.

Matt - please broadcast those to the group as soon as you're ready, by
the end of the day on Monday at the latest.

The Winter Adjustments will be due on Thursday, 24 September, at 1700
EDT. If an extension is needed due to the short negotiating window,
please advise, but I think for a winter it will suffice. Projected
Winter Adjustments (pending retreats) at bottom.
