Hi All,
The way I see it, we have three options:
1. Find a replacement and allow a sufficient amount of time for him to meet and negotiate with everyone.
2. Continue the game using some ad-hoc, six-player rules.
3. Have someone propose a 6-way draw; everyone signs up for new games and hopes for the best.
I strongly favor option 1 and strongly disfavor option 2. If anyone disagrees, now would be the time to speak up. Feel free to e-mail me privately on this matter.
Cheers,
Matthew

Arn't there other options here? I mean this is getting ridiculous. Please don't allow a replacement that hasn't played a game yet. Perhaps that would help?
Here's what I propose:
Delete Austria from the game. It's home SC arn't counted for 5 years. That way his neighbors don't have free SCs to immediately go after. I guess France and England are the only ones that wouldn't benefit from this though.
Or, what if we all submitted orders for Austria? Whichever move order got the most would be what that unit does? We keep doing this until a replacement is found so we can keep the game going.
If a replacement is found soon please don't set the deadline for another week. I'd say 48-72 hours.

[quote:fca2c6fcde] Hey guys,
Still no word from our Austrian player. I've got no choice at this point but to seek a new player. I've put the game back into recruiting mode.
Hopefully we'll find a replacement soon and can get back to the game.

[quote:fca2c6fcde]Hey guys,
Deadline's here and I'm still waiting for Austrian orders. I'm invoking Austria's one-time 24h grace period. You are all free to submit new orders during this time.
Cheers,
Matthew

[quote:fca2c6fcde]Hi Folks,
This is your friendly 24h reminder for Fall 1901. I'm still missing orders from England, France, Italy, and Austria.
In future turns, please consider submitting preliminary orders as soon as is convenient. You can always change them once you've had some time, and you reduce your risk of NMR to zero.
Cheers,
Matthew
