Austrian Press:
Reuter News (Vienna) - MAP MAKERS criticized, Cartographers complain about LANGuages!
Reports of the Austrian-Hungarian army getting lost in the Galician province sparked criticism of the national cartographers.
"My tank corps for a Garmin!" exclaimed Brig General Karl von Trapp, "These old paper maps are horrendous. Take a look at the drawings here - there are none! All I see is the some stupid Galician town name written in 4+ languages. And if that wasn't enough, there's Slavic sub-titles!"
The Minister of Maps and Other Old Fashion Navigation Items held an impromptu press conference after meeting with his staff of cartographers.
"It isn't our fault we have all of these legal demands for making sure all of our maps are 'politically correct'," said the Minister. "You try to write something in Hungarian or Czech. Have you seen Hungarian or Czech written down? There's a symbol for each dang letter! I wish they would give up the Roman alphabet and start with something else. And don't get me started with German. I don't know who got the bright idea of combining words together to create a new word in German. I think the German forbears forgot to think about of the space bar. You try to write something like:
Rindfleischetikettierungsueberwachungsaufgabenuebertragungsgesetz on a map. You see how good your map is."
At the minister's press conference, a small gathering of protestors held a rally holding signs support, "American as the official language!" The police disbursed them quickly by showing that they should be in Arizona and not Vienna.

Diplomats,
The general drive seems to be towards the east, as both Germany, England, France, Italy and Austria move generally eastwards (Austria at least tries...)
