Hallo zusammen,
?
welcome to the third 1936 playtest!
I hope we shall all have a grand time.

Let me cut straight to the chase and give you the power
allocations I worked out based on your submitted preferences:

Britain
Jimmy
Ghostine

Burlington,
VT, US

France
Ken Miller
Davenport, IA, US

Germany
Dirk Knemeyer
Somerville, MA, US

Italy &
Nat. Spain
Andrew Tanner
Salem, OR, US

Poland
Daniel Dzikowicz
Sugar Grove, IL, US

Soviet Union
& Rep. Spain
Kyle Overby-Lee
Inverness, IL, US

Turkey
Joao Queiros
Nairobi, Kenya

I trust you folks are reasonably happy. Apart from two players who
merely got their third and fourth choice respectively, all got
either their first or second. By adding the ranks together, I
arrived at the following table:

France
15

Soviet Union
20

Italy

26

Britain
29

Turkey
34

Germany
35

Poland
40

France is plainly all the rage. Indeed, four players most
wanted to play the Grande Nation. I am not surprised that the
three most compact positions didn't curry as much favour. Most
people after all relish having more units and those being located
in quite different parts of the map. Indeed, much the same
popularity trends could be discerned in DC319. I suppose the large
overlap in players may also be a contributing factor.

France
13

Soviet Union
14

Britain
17

Italy
21

Germany
25

Turkey
25

Poland
31

Dirk's DC330 game produced somewhat different preference schemes:

DC330

Soviet Union
23

Italy
24,5

Britain
26

Poland
27,5

Germany
28

France
33

Turkey
34

Okay, 'nuff about such "fashion trivia". Smile

While of course any type of
meta-gaming is very much frowned upon and trust nobody shall
engage in, I believe that in the interest of full disclosure
of all present player pairings outside of this game ought to
be made public. Please do so, say as you introduce yourself
to the group.

As already previously noted, I require that all negotiation
mails are CCed to me. This is very helpful from a
playtesting perspective, allows me to spot mistaken
assumptions regarding the rules or map and allows me to keep
stats on the game's mail volume that I plan on publishing
once the game has ended. And hey, I just like being in the
loop. Smile

Preliminary Spring
1936 moves are due to me NLT 6PM CET on?Monday, 4
October, with the final deadline following on
Wednesday, 6 October.

Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
