Spring 1907 sees trench lines solidifying across Europe as armies grapple for maneuvering space. German soldiers in Kiel abandon the war effort as French forces cross the Denmark border while there was reported fighting in the streets of Berlin between Russian and German troops. In the Balkans Austria's Rumanian army took Serbia with the support of forces in Budapest.
