Spring 958: St. Gallen, once the pride of the French winter legion, now set on fire by the Romans.
The Romans who saw no way out of the beleaguering by the Burgundian forces than self-destruction.
In the Mediterranean, the Romans and Burgundians have a stand-off around Cagliari and Roma. The Burgundian army in Pisa however had to be disbanded. The Burgundians in return have taken Barca and are just one move away from Alexandria. The Romans seem to be anticipating such a move considering their Smyrna fleet has moved to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and the army from Antakya to Palestine. Further north the armies of Romans and the Slavs are firmly set and fence off any attempt from the other to even move an inch.
The Swedes try to break the Roman defense line in Praha once more and just like before have to return empty-handed.
Then the Norse: they seem to have a preference for scorched areas. Now everyone knows that these fires usually leave very fertile soil, but perhaps not everyone is aware that SCs don't just grow when watered.
Some say the battle has now become a war between the Romans and all other Powers. If so will we see a major breakthrough in Fall 958? Just hang on...

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
