DIPYCORP PRESS RELEASES
King Of France:
As you all can see from my orders, I have acknowledged the
friendship that I have with the English and the Italians.
For the English I will continue to pound the Germans by
land as you dismantle them by sea. I would rather see a
fleet in Hol which would make me feel more secure in Bel
with my sights set on Mun.  With my Army in the middle of
the continent I'd be glad to help your moves through the
north.  For the Italians I was unable to follow through on
the move to Pie as I did not want to take the chances with
a possible German Army moving into Bur. I will continue to
work at the Germans, and with the English success in the
north I no longer see the need to move through Pie - the
unit I already have to their east should be enough to get
into Mun later than sooner. If you had other plans for it
you might let me know sooner than later.
                                 Â
                                 Â
To the Austrians:  I appreciate the offer of help to Mun -
but  I doubt I will get in with Ber undoubtedly supporting
Mun this turn. Next turn I will attempt to get in again but
with an additional supporting Army in Bur this time.  So -
if you did support me this turn, that would be the best
signal of intent and If you could support me again I think
I'll get in, or the German move to block it will seal their
fate at the hands of the English.
                                 Â
                                 Â
To the Turks: Looks like it's going like clockwork over
there, but with northern expansion to be capped by England
soon - things are going to cool off to a stalemate or heat
up to an all out war with your other neighbours. From where
I sit I'll side with your neighbours -  lest you become the
Genie who got out of the bottle.
                                 Â
                                 Â
To the Germans: Nothing personal, you are just in the way,
in the direction I intend to go.  With England on top and
the French underneath you will be the tough nut that
cracked sooner than is normally expected.
                                 Â
                                 Â
To the Russians:  Not much to say, as the light at the end
of your tunnel is probably a train.
                                 Â
                                 Â
                                 Â
Austria -> Turkey: Â I assisted you and will now support you. Â I
expect to make no advances this turn. Â The French army is
bugging me and my biggest concern.
                                 Â
                                 Â
Austria -> Russia: Â Now that you are out of Gal, I shall move
from there also. Â Let us regain the peace we once held.
                                 Â
                                 Â
Austria -> France: Â What gives? Â You move further towards my
territories? Â Do you wish EVERY nation on this map to come
after you?
                                 Â
                                 Â
Dearest Czar,
The recent trangressions of our Southern neighbor concern
me, and I expect concern you even more so.  The violent
streak shown in the Balkans is unconscienable and must be
retaliated against.  Let us put aside our differences and
focus on the real threat.  Do you need my assistance?
   Archduke Ferdinand
                                 Â
                                 Â
Turkey, Congrats for Rumania.
We now border one an other throughout the Balkan region.
Peace or War is the question.  I strive for peace myself.
I will not attack you, unless you cross the line first.
Let Peace prevail as I focus my attention to the North.

                                 Â
To the King of Prussia, His Imperial and Royal Majesty, Kaiser
Wilhelm II:
                                 Â
From the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Ireland, His Royal Highness Edward VII
                                 Â
Dear William,
Your earnest and eager entreaty does not fall on deaf ears.
We understand your plight better than you may imagine, and
it is your interest that we seize Denmark.  First, we
believe you know our opinion on the outcome of the Second
Schleswig War.  Schleswig is the extent of Your country.
Second, our control of Scandanavia ensures our ability to
buttress the Russian people against Ottoman influence,
allowing your cousin Nicholas to liberate his people and
transition toward democracy.  Third and with emphasis, we
must be clear that we see your influence most effective in
the Low Countries.  We shall be ready in the coming year to
provide what assistance you may need.  We regret that this
change in plans utterly prevents us from being of any
assistance to you.  We trust that you will understand and
embrace the new direction and our leadership in the
   rebuilding of Europe.
Your Own Uncle and Your Friend,
   Bertie
                                 Â
                                 Â
From the desk of the Right Honourable Lord of the Treasury,
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
                                 Â
Monsieur Premier,
                                 Â
I am writing to address your terms of cooperation as to the
redrawing of Europe.  In order to support our mutual goals
and diverging areas of interest, I propose this peace
agreement between your Republic and ours: a buffer area of
the English Channel and the Mid Atlantic Ocean.  I will
keep all my navies from these waters, so long as you do the
same.  I will afford you up to one year to facilitate
   compliance.
                                 Â
Yours faithfully, Arthur James Balfour

LES MISADVENTURES
                                 Â
By VACLAV RASKJIC
                                 Â
Prague — What as recently as October had been billed one of
the most inspired military campaigns since the
   Franco-Prussian war—the French capture of Munich—now
appears to many as a laughable series of blunders.  The
French army that captured the Bavarian capital at first
appeared primed to wholly disrupt the internal security of
the Prussian empire.  Now, many laugh off the campaign as
nothing more than a “stag party pub-crawling through
   central Europe.â€Â
                                 Â
Others have suggested the French are simply holding their map
upside down. Â There is still a minority opinion that this
expedition is in fact part of a coherent strategy. Â Perhaps the
Catholic French King expects to find allies in the Italian or
Austrian monarchs. Â The rumors suggest Vienna may be interested
in helping France recapture Bavaria as tension continues to
escalate between the houses of Hapsburg and Hohenzollern.
