PREV  Fall 1900 Adjudication:  NEXT

After waiting this long, I figure you're all ready to read some results. So, let's do this.
Today's theme? There can only be one Munich. Six of you had it in your top three. Almost makes me think there might be something crucial about the space. But that can't be true; otherwise, it would have been vacuumed up in one of the first two rounds. In addition to Munich, two other centers are double-listed as top prefs. But everybody gets one of their top two prefs -- the large majority of which are in Germany/Scandinavia.

Bushwood [Budapest, Trieste] draws Rumania -- Dave Kleiman
A right proper Austrian power

Kiel/St. Petersburg draws Sweden-- Mike Hoffman
A Scandinavian syndicate

Mos Eisley [Liverpool, Paris] draws Holland -- Mark Utterback
Has somewhat a Henry V feel

Marseilles/Spain draws Portugal -- Philip King Iberia tastefully changes its colors to light green

Rhovanion [Bulgaria, Moscow] draws Norway -- Andrew Tanner
We have a winner for the most disparate nation! Those underground palaces must be widespread.

Lemuria [Naples, Rome] draws Munich -- Tim Crosby
Somebody had to get the Black Forest. It's like a big shiny thing that Lemurs can't resist.

The Glorious Republic of Rosstopia [Brest, Tunis] draws Belgium -- Ross Galloway
Rosstopia and Mos Eisley have a history to write together

Sevastopol/Smyrna draws Berlin -- Mike Sims
The Sims family business has many branch offices

In the aftermath, whenever the dust should choose to settle, we have a good and proper mess. Especially in and around Germany. And here we all thought the mess would be in Balkans! Instead, the Balkans and Turkey are home to a large stash of unclaimed centers: Ank, Con, Gre, and Ser. If we subtract the Central European band of Ven, Vie, and War, that leaves us only three unclaimed centers on the North Sea: Den, Edi, and Lon.

Winter 1900 orders are due next Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. CST. Don't forget to specify coasts where appropriate. I will include a zipped RealPolitik variant folder with the Winter 1900 adjudication so that you can play along at home. I will also strive to have our game room set up on the DC site by then.

Spring 1901 will not dawn until the Tuesday following. So, you have some serious time here to set up your alliances and your sneaky plans (the board certainly has some opportunities for sneakiness).

Finally, I still don't have names for three nations, nor preferences from a few of you as to whether you'd like traditional NMRs (all units hold) or you'd like delayed deadlines to corral the stragglers with complete sets of orders (my usual mode).

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
