PREV Winter 1900 Adjudication: NEXT

Winter 1900 is just behind us and Spring 1901 is in the air.
The days are getting longer and nights shorter. Little flowers are starting to appear. Nature is preparing itself for new growth.
And so is man...

Now the dark and cold days are gone, and the roads are free of snow again, a lot of messengers can be seen travelling between the countries. Overhead the flocks of birds cross the skies now they no longer have to fear freezing their wings off or loosing direction in a snow-covered countryside. Look, even an occassional pigeon can be spotted up in the air.
At the coast fishermen have gone out to sea again expecting to make a big catch again. The sea is quiet. A gentle breeze and an occassional riple across the water.

Some pessimists say that this is soon to end.
We will know very soon, won't we?
