I can already tell just from these first press releases that this game is going to be fun. We've got 8 submissions for this first round, and they vary greatly in length and content. I've ordered them randomly below. Read into them what you will!

We, the people of Egypt, are glad to be dealing with such a wonderful and enlightened group of people! Hopefully, you will all embrace that Egypt does not desire to rule you all and bring you under our iron fist but only to benevolently cooperate with our friends across the world. We do have certain territorial rights, however, and metting the Egyptian armies to oppose them would indicate a severe lack of judgement. Attacks on territories surrounding us such as Lybia, Saudi Arabia, or Israel will be looked on with great concern, especially if we are not informed of them beforehand. That over, The government of Egypt looks forward to working with you all.

Mario: Pasta fazoole! I think this not gonna be like kicking koopas.
Luigi: I know, I know. What we know of armies and fleets and such things? But there is no choice. Our country needs us, Mario.
Mario: Si, Luigi, si. Well then, since we have no choice, let us take the jobs. I shall be il Generale. You can be il Ammiraglio.
Luigi: I don't know, Mario. I fear I shall suffer most terribly from the rocking and the rolling of the ships.
Mario: Il Ammiraglio does not need to go out on the ships. Only tell the captains where to go.
Luigi: Bene! That I can do. Um, so where do I tell them? I am not angry of anyone.
Mario: Nor I. Maybe if we just be good neighbors then no one will be bothered of us and we can not be bothered.
Luigi: Good thinking, Grande Fratello. I gonna send the ships to go to the in-between places where they will not need to bump into the other ships.
Mario: And I shall also send the armies to the places where they will not bother our neighbors. If our neighbors can agree to us, there will be equal good for all.
Luigi: Si, let us hope of that and it may be so. Buona fortuna!

Numbered things from the Russian Czar:
1) To Ukraine and Turkey, I'm not moving to the Black Sea. I'm hoping to make that fleet mostly useless. Right now it is moving slowly toward Iran unless I hear a huge objection from the rest of the map, excluding Turkey. Ukraine, please be nice to my Rostov. I do not want to loose it.
2) To Poland and Ukraine, What are your plans on Bielorussia? Unfortunately, if I hear nothing from the group press about this particular SC, then I'll try for it. I'm hoping for it for sentimental sakes. I mean, it is the 'Bielo' version of me.
3) To Germany and Poland, Thoughts on Sweden? I'm making a bid for it. Maybe either one of you have a strong argument on why you should get it. We have a season to discuss.
