Now we get our first look at your strategies and schemes! Russia grabs Rumania but cedes the Black Sea to Turkey, who also has made moves to outflank his northern foe. Italy seeks to offend no-one and France plays defensively. Austria's orders both defend and expand, while Germany and England both get a claim to Belgium. At this point, the only thing I can rule out is the Lepanto opening, but everything else is fair game. We also have a budding (albeit anonymous) poet laureate among us, who elaborates far better than I on the nature of this first season of war.
