A thank you to everybody for your patience. I got called away for sick-child duty at midday and haven't been online almost all day (don't worry, the offspring is doing just fine).

Press from the Were-Hamsters:
"Reporters in Warsaw describe smoke rising from the chimneys of the Hamster Ball Factories. While the gates are still barred and weeds choke the grounds, occasional lights are glimpsed through the windows and the clanging of metal fills the night hours. One keen-eyed observer also claims to have seen a small rodent leaving the local tank factory with what appeared to be a set of blueprints in it's mouth."

Fateful premonitions from the Spring adjudication:

"I expect the Balkans to swim in blood, and I will go out on a limb here by predicting that at least one player (probably two) gets stabbed. I will further predict that at least one player ends the year with fewer centers than they began it."

Fateful indeed! Nothing is so sure as that the GM will be dead wrong! The Balkans are bloodless (nobody even moves unless you count F Ion-Gre). Stabs? Of course, I cannot know what lies have been told in secret. There is some sketchiness surround F Sev-Rum as well as F Nth-Den... but is there actual treachery? And nobody ends the year with less than they began, although two players will sit out this season's frenzy of builds (still, when you consider some of the starting positions and that first-round draft glut in the Western Med... I'd say everybody did pretty well on the whole).

Sapienta and Wu Tang achieve that most distressing of honors: a complete adjudicate of *Flags*. For Sapienta, it's *Bounce* *Fails* *Fails*. Wu Tang spices it up with more variety: *Cut* *Fails* *Bounce*. Even so, efficiency is the order of the day. Nine neutrals get vacuumed up, and it could've been ten, but somebody guessed wrong. As a result, the barracks and shipyards will be busy this Winter:
