As our first year draws to a close, the powers are still consolidating their hold over their respective territories, and war has not reared its ugly head. China is the big winner in 1870, doubling in size. Are they looking allies, or more territory?

Unfortunately, we already have our first NMR as the colonial forces hold in place, what could turn out to be a costly turn of events at this early stage.
