PRESS for Spring 854
Frisians to Britons: I appreciate your continued support and peace. Is there any way we can make some use of your armies. Can you move them south and convoy them? Can we work out something useful up north?
Frisians to Norse: Any time you want to move against the Danes would be great. You won't have to worry about over extending yourself because the Danes don't have any units to spare. Even if you just cut support next season that would probably allow me to make a small gain and then he would not be able to defend himself against even one or two of your units.
Scots, if you're not moving against me, I'll pick up where I left off.
Saxons, I'll assume we're at peace. If you want to keep Wight,
consider moving your fleet down and let the Angles follow you for
support. From there, you're both positioned to give the Britons a
taste of their own medicine.
Angles, I hope the Saxons agree that they're better off with us.
Should we offer the Picts support before the Norse do what they said
they're going to do?
-Wales
Danes to Britons
I expect to cut Rhe this autumn, which will give you Hol if you want to take it. I hope to retake Low.
Danes to Norse
Good luck against the Picts. I hope to join you on the big island soon.
Saxons to Angles/Welsh: I accept. Note that I only moved my F AND I held Sta so it could be disbanded by the Angles. No other forces are threatening either of you. Let's get our Fs together in defense.
Saxons: I am setting up to dislodge you from Sta so you can rebuild a Fleet. Hopefully you have responded to my terms and I'm reading you agreement right now.
Wales: Hopefully our resolve will keep the Saxons honest. If he makes a move on Mid then it's back to war.
- Angles
Irish to all, somebody help! As seen this turn, even though the Irish have continued to demonstrate defensive intentions, the Welsh are still pressing the attack. It will not be long before Ireland and Saxony are absorbed by AW at this rate.
To Scots: If I am dislodged from Arm this spring, please support my fleet Wes-Arm in the fall.
To Britons: If Wales chooses Wex this spring instead, please cut St. support in the fall. I will support you in that move.
Norse press.... to Scots, You west me east?
Britons speak,
To Welsh and Scots,
As stated, we do not seek conflict, only security. Given the Scots/Norse tag-team, there should be quite a force of fleets pouring down sometime not too far away. To this end, I ask both the Welsh and Scots for balance of power and sensible actions. With Picts on their way out, 2 more need to go to complete the final 7; and I see no point in why we should not make the Irish one of them. However, untill such a deal has been struck, or something similar, Cel will support the Irish fleet in St. Unless of course, I'm forced to withdraw altogether. However, I am confident that both the Welsh and the Scots can see the good things it would bring for the three of us altogether.
To Saxons,
I'll do my best, your defense has been spirited, and it would be interesting to have you in the final 7 as well...Also, I will refrain from taking Wir as long as possible, since I belive you have more use for armies than I would have for more fleets. Let me know how Eng can best help you.
To Norse,
What is your take on the Dan/Fri conflict?
To Angles,
I am bound by honour and oath to help the Saxons out a bit. I would prefer us to avoid direct conflict, if that is possible.
To Danes,
I realise the need for more power, I shall commence my troops.
