I'm very excited this turn. I admit it's mostly because we get to have an exceptionally short Summer turn, because both dislodged units have had only one valid retreat. That makes things much easier, and keeps the game going nicely. As a GM, little things like that make me happy. All the same, if either the Byzantines or Arabs want that particular unit disbanded, just say the word within the appropriate time limit.

The highlight of Spring 954 is the southward moves made by the Slavs, who advance into a prime position to make life difficult for the Roman Empire. Barbarians at the gates! These Slavic Nations are hardly barbarians anymore; they are worthy of a kingdom at the least (Kievan Rus', anyone?).

Please keep in mind that the threshold of a solo victory is twenty-six centres. The French and Slavs are currently at seventeen and show no signs of slowing. Fall 954 deadline is 27 May, 20:00 GMT.
