After four years of action, our situation appears to have developed without any pacts forming across the bridge of anonymity, and those who have gained centres are doing so specifically because the attentions of others are elsewhere. An interesting match, don't you think so? The result would suggest a tacit alliance between England and Germany (though we know this not to be the case) and Russia and Turkey (but this too we know to be untrue) with Italy nipping at the heels of France and Austria. So, this turn we have two retreating units, but only one retreat is actually needed, from Germany. The effect this may have on winter adjustments is limited to Germany; if Moscow is taken by the Kaiser, the EM rule will be enforced again.

Autumn 1903 retreats are due 11 February, Winter 1903 adjustments are due 12 February.
