I believe we are approaching the point in the game when natural limits become more and more relevant. The greatly limited ability of the Rus to send vessels into the Baltic Sea may ultimately force a stalemate unless they are able to swiftly grab enough fragmented pieces of the once-great Eastern Roman Empire to claim the solo victory.

A note on the conditions for the solo from the game rules: Victory conditions are 26 centers. If two or more players each occupy 26 centers or more during the same year, any one of those may choose to declare the game a draw between the players who owns more than 25 centers. Until any player does this, the game goes on until only one player owns 26 centers or more.
