PREV Fall 1905 Adjudication: NEXT

There is a Midwestern folk singer by the name of Carrie Newcomer. My wife and I enjoy her music. I think her best quality is probably her warmth of soul -- more than her music or her lyrics, it's her connectedness that sells her pieces. Anyway, here's an except from one of her songs, torn terribly out of context (as I like to do!):

"Donâ€™t tell me hate is ever right or Godâ€™s will
These are the wheels we put in motion ourselves
The whole world weeps and is weeping still
Though shaken I still believe
the best of what we all can be

Can only come from love."

And my point here is: peace certainly isn't coming to DC 430. Ye have put the wheels in motion yourselves, and I'm just not feeling enough love on this board to announce game over. Or, perhaps it'll make more sense if I say it in Wu Tang: "Don't kill your brother, let's love each other." [Man, every time I go hunting for a Wu Tang quote to drop into an adjudication, it is harder than a brick to find seven words linked together without some of the foulest profanity I've ever seen...].

To make it short: draw proposal fails. Game continues.

And woe to DRE! And woe to Wu Tang! The Celts glide effortless forward into Spain and Picardy. Wu Tang loses its Budapestan homeland. Munich holds firm.

We have two retreats and one disband.

The DRE army in Spain is muerto.
The Were-Hamster army in Armenia may retreat to Sevastopol or Syria or off the board.
The Wu Tang army in Greece may retreat to Albania or Serbia or off the board.

Both those retreats are due tomorrow.
