PREV  Fall 2001 Adjudication:  NEXT

Sorry for the delay. Despite it Spain and Britain NMR. That is the 4th for the latter, which means CD. The remaining British units will hold and disband if dislodged.

Elsewhere it's a pretty interesting turn as Poland suffers his first setbacks of the game, losing Sweden and Gdansk to Germany. That said, he does pick up Odessa and Georgia to offset his losses. On the boot Italy manages to disband Egypt's army just in time to see another one land in Naples, and France and Germany continue to pull away from each other.

The draw failed by a vote of 3 yes, 1 no, and 4 abstain. There is no proposal currently on the table.

There are two retreats:
German A Pic may retreat to Als or OTB.
Italian F Rom may retreat to Lig or OTB.

The retreats and any Autumn press releases are due tomorrow, Monday, November 29, at 9 pm eastern.

Matt

Press #1:
Germany To France:
I hope you keep your word that your Army go back to Pic and eliminate my army.
Please leave our border. You have more space to develop in Iberia.

Germany to Egypt:
Please help Turkey to defend against Poland. You see Polish armies are entered Iraq and will head towards your heartland. Be aware.

Germany to Turkey:
Come on! You see how Poland treat you! You treat him as friend and he take your land in return. Keep your fleets at Black Sea!

Press #2:
Egypt to Turkey: I'm putting my neck out for you. Hopefully you don't send those fleets south! Note: F Isr - Syr is not to threaten Turkey, but to help you recapture and/or support Adana.

Egypt to France: Once I can push east, I'd say that you should take ownership of Ven. I can help provide the bulwark against Poland in Hungary and Croatia. Assuming Turkey is cool with that!

Press #3:
Poland to Turkey:
Kick you in the balls? You said (or did not refute): "great, well there is no way im going to support a replacement getting into the finish position, id rather see a Polish solo, you deserve it. So, pole I will do everything in my power to support you, Feel free to take my sc if you wish. Id wish you luck but with the lilly livered ukraine i dont think you need it. Meanwhile I fight to keep the egyptian small, till my (probably quick) death."

I was moving south to do that. I'd rather we hit Egypt together. And notice you're not losing any more SCs from this:

Irak m Adana
Iran s Irak m Adana
Ode m Sev
Kiev s Ode m Sev
Don s Ode m Sev
Hungary m Rumania

Do you want Egypt out or do you want dogpile me and leave Egypt at your back? We've seen his treachery already. Turn the fleets man.

Poland to Germany:
Seriously. I can't solo this game. I'm not going to be able to hold you and Turkey off. That's fine, but watch your back with France. As soon as you retreat, I will disengage too. Hopefully you do it before you take us both down. Remember a G/P/T is better than an E/F.

Press #4:
France to All - Please, let's approve a draw. This gunboat style hurts our prospects of a high-quality game going forward, and everyone (except England) has played a pretty admirable game so far.

France to Germany - I apologize if you don't like my plan, but I thought it was much superior to just moving to Alsace. Please build your new units to fight Poland. Let me know when I can have one of the 2 SC I gave you.

France to Spain - I'll be very sad if you stabbed me this turn; we have such a good thing going.

France to Egypt - Moving to Tuscany was a gamble: I might disband your A Ven, or I might be able to protect it in the Spring. Hoping for the latter, apologies if the former.

France to Turkey - We told you he the Pollock was tricksy. Now fight him with all you've got!

France to Poland - I promised Germany many times that I wouldn't attack him if he stabbed you; now I'm making good on that promise. Now we get to see if you have any cards up your sleeve besides witchcraft.
